Selma Blair attended 90s Con just days after being arrested on allegations of assault.
“Yes, Selma Blair will be joining us as planned,” event organizer That’s 4 Entertainment announced on Instagram Stories Friday, October 16.
Blair was later seen posing with fans at the Hartford, Connecticut, convention.
“Having the greatest time at 90s Con!” influencer Brad Deiter wrote on his page alongside a photo with Blair in front of the event’s step-and-repeat backdrop.
Additional fans posted footage of their meetings with Blair, who remained seated in a chair as she greeted convention attendees.
Blair’s appearance at 90s Con had been arranged before her Sunday, October 11, arrest. The Cruel Intentions actress was charged with allegedly assaulting flight attendants during a flight.
“She was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation,” the JFK Port Authority Police Department said in a statement to Us. “Two flight attendants also reported injuries, and one was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The FBI is investigating this incident.”
Blair’s attorney said the alleged assault was unintentional, claiming she became confused after missing doses of her multiple sclerosis medication. She pleaded not guilty to the charges at a Monday, October 12, hearing and was released from custody on bond.

In a Friday, October 16, statement addressing the incident for the first time, Blair’s representative told Us that the actress had experienced a medical emergency during the flight. “There was no attempt to open the door of the aircraft. Selma did not intend to harm anyone,” the representative said.
The spokesperson also pushed back against what they described as “outrageous” speculation surrounding Blair’s battle with MS.
“Her diagnosis has been public since 2018. What Selma has been able to do physically in the years since is nothing short of a miracle. She still has bad days, and she lives with pain daily,” the statement said. “Selma also has pseudobulbar affect, a neurological condition secondary to her MS, which bears directly on how a medical episode presents to people who do not know her. For the same reason, she travels with a service dog who doesn’t leave her side, and the authorities took her dog from her.”
According to her representative, Blair has continued working on several projects since her diagnosis while becoming a “visible and relentless advocate for disability rights.”
The statement concluded, “There is much more to this story than has been reported, and we ask to consider the entirety of the facts before rushing to judgment, whether in the courtroom or in the court of public opinion.”
Blair’s next hearing is scheduled for January 19, 2027.
