Will Arnett has confirmed that he is in a relationship with Emma Marciano. During a September 2026 episode of the “SmartLess” podcast, which he co-hosts with Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, the actor shared an upbeat update about his personal life without naming Marciano directly. “It’s going really well,” Arnett said. “I’m very happy. Very, very happy. Things are going great.” People previously reported that Arnett was dating Marciano, a fashion designer and founder of Los Angeles womenswear brand Mimchik. She is the daughter of Maurice Marciano, who co-founded Guess. Born around 1998, Marciano is approximately 28 years younger than Arnett, placing the couple among Hollywood’s more closely watched age-gap romances.
The pair was first romantically linked in June 2026 after being spotted out in Los Angeles, as seen in photos shared by the gossip website Deuxmoi on Instagram. Their massive age difference didn’t go unnoticed among social media users, many of whom weren’t exactly impressed. “Men get older and their girlfriends get younger,” one user lamented in the comments. “Another middle aged man dating a 20 something. How cliche,” someone else said in agreement.
Neither Arnett nor Marciano has publicly commented on their age difference. Still, the BoJack Horseman star offered a candid, hopeful perspective when discussing the future on the podcast. “If I f***ing knew what five years — I am now at 56, I have learned a little bit in the last two years, especially to let go of whatever ideas that I think it’s going to go or is going to happen,” he told his co-hosts. Arnett added that life can deliver unexpected challenges, saying, “You get dealt so many f***ing curveballs.” These days, he explained, he is focused on handling the present and making the best possible next choice.
Will Arnett is taking things slow
Although Arnett has previously dated women outside his age group, none of his former partners falls into the same age range as Marciano. The actor has been married twice. His first wife was Penelope Ann Miller, who is six years older than he is. In 2003, he married Amy Poehler, and the former couple shares two sons, Archie and Abel. Poehler is one year younger than Arnett.
After his marriages, the Arrested Development star entered a long-term relationship with Alessandra Brawn, a former Chapel founder and public-relations executive. The pair had an age difference of nearly two decades and welcomed a son, Denny, in 2020, when Arnett was 50.
Arnett, who generally keeps his private life out of the spotlight, discussed the realities of becoming a father later in life during a 2022 interview with The Guardian. “Well, when you already have kids, you know how long the road is,” he said, describing the hours required to get his two older sons ready for school. “I’m in this for A WHILE,” he recalled thinking. Arnett was approaching 40 when he became a first-time father with Poehler. Before then, he admitted, children were largely outside his focus. “I always joked that before I had kids, I didn’t notice them,” he said during an appearance on the “Our Way” podcast. Parenthood, however, transformed his outlook. “It really brought everything into focus for me in life, and it really put everything into perspective,” he said.
