ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida can expect another largely dry day, with temperatures running below average and a comfortable northeast breeze. Afternoon highs should climb from the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
Beach conditions remain the primary concern. Swells linked to Invest 93L in the western Atlantic are producing rough surf and a high risk of life-threatening rip currents.
Tuesday
Drier air will keep most of Central Florida rain-free today. Northeast winds will slacken slightly, creating pleasant weather away from the coastline. Temperatures will fall overnight, with some inland communities becoming noticeably cooler.
Despite mostly sunny skies, dangerous rip currents and rough surf will continue along the beaches. Avoid entering the water and pay close attention to local beach warnings.
Wednesday & Thursday
A persistent northeast breeze will remain in place, while a few coastal showers could develop Wednesday as Atlantic moisture moves inland. Rainfall is expected to be light, and drier air should return Thursday, keeping most areas dry.
Afternoon temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to low 80s. Overnight lows could drop into the upper 50s north of I-4, particularly Thursday night.
Weekend
Northeast winds may strengthen Friday before reaching 20 to 30 mph Saturday and Sunday, with the strongest gusts likely near the coast. If current projections hold, Wind Advisories could become necessary.
The stronger winds could further deteriorate surf conditions, raising the threat of rip currents and beach erosion beginning Friday.
Coastal showers may return late in the week and continue into the weekend, with the highest rain chances expected south of Cape Canaveral.
Highs will continue to range from the upper 70s to the low 80s.
