Manosphere influencer Andrew Tate has become “very sick” while held at a notorious federal detention center in Florida and has allegedly been denied medical care, according to his lawyer, who issued an urgent public appeal.
The 39-year-old former kickboxer is contesting extradition to Britain, where he faces a wide-ranging case involving allegations of rape, human trafficking and sexual assault. While detained in Miami, Tate has reportedly made repeated requests to see a doctor.
His attorney, Joe McBride, said those requests had not been answered and warned that prison officials could face legal action unless his client receives treatment.
“Andrew is very sick,” McBride wrote in a statement posted on X on Tuesday.
The lawyer said Tate had sought medical attention several times but had not received care.
“Medical care is a fundamental human right. If Andrew does not get treatment soon, we will sue FDC Miami into oblivion. Pray for him,” McBride said.
The allegations come as Andrew and his younger brother Tristan, 38, remain detained at the Federal Detention Center in Miami. The facility has previously faced allegations involving overcrowding, poor sanitation and mistreatment of prisoners.
No details have been released about the nature or seriousness of Andrew Tate’s reported illness. His lawyer’s claims that the influencer has been denied treatment have not been independently verified.

This is not the first time Andrew Tate’s health has become a focus during his legal battles.
During earlier proceedings in Romania, Tate asked for permission to travel to the United Arab Emirates for medical reasons, citing concerns about his lungs.
The brothers, who built their public profiles around displays of immense wealth, luxury vehicles and lavish travel, have been in custody since July 18. They were arrested outside a bare-knuckle boxing event in downtown Miami.
Their detention followed an extradition request from British prosecutors, who are seeking to return the pair to the UK to face almost 60 criminal charges between them.
Andrew Tate faces numerous allegations, including rape, human trafficking, assault and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Tristan Tate faces 17 charges, including alleged rape, sexual exploitation and sexual assault. The accusations relate to events said to have occurred between 2010 and 2017.
Both brothers have denied all wrongdoing.
Their imprisonment represents a dramatic reversal for men who once used social media to showcase their wealth, influence and high-profile lifestyles to millions of followers.

Instead of enjoying their customary lavish lifestyles, the pair are being held in the Miami detention center’s special housing unit, separated from the general inmate population.
The facility has attracted intense scrutiny over its treatment of prisoners.
A Human Rights Watch report documented allegations of ‘extreme overcrowding, unsanitary conditions and abusive treatment’ at the detention center.
Other accounts have described infestations of cockroaches and cells contaminated with human waste.
The precise conditions experienced by the Tate brothers have not been independently established.
McBride’s latest claims follow earlier complaints that his clients were struggling with inadequate access to food and prison commissary supplies.
In August, Tristan wrote a handwritten note complaining that the brothers had been forced to share a meager supply of snacks over more than a month.
‘We have had 14 snack items in the past 32 days between two big men. What is this, trick or treat? I’ve lost 13 pounds and I’m hungry,’ he wrote.
McBride subsequently publicized the letter, claiming both men had suffered significant weight loss.

Andrew Tate’s lawyer claims the former kickboxer has lost weight behind bars and is now suffering from an undisclosed illness. Andrew Tate is seen with his brother Tristan behind him
‘Tristan is down 13 lbs, and Andrew 8. The Gov claims they have normal commissary access. The Gov is lying,’ he alleged.
‘They’ve been given commissary access one time in 32 days. Imagine a single snickers bar lasting 3 days between 2 men…’
Records obtained by the Miami New Times showed that as of early August, Andrew had $3,564 in his commissary account, while Tristan had $2,583.
The allegations against Tate have continued to mount.
Romanian authorities allege he recruited a girl aged just 15 and exploited her sexually in Britain and Romania over a period spanning 2012 to 2021.
Prosecutors claim the teenager was pressured into producing sexually explicit material and participating in webcam activities.
British prosecutors have also presented claims involving extreme pornographic material as part of their case against the influencer.
According to allegations disclosed in connection with the extradition proceedings, investigators claim Tate possessed bestiality pornography, including images involving a horse and an eel.
Those claims, like the other criminal accusations, have not been established by a court and remain unproven.
