Woman Caught on Camera Hurling Racist Abuse at Nightclub Bouncer

A young woman on a night out was filmed allegedly directing racist abuse at a nightclub bouncer after being asked to move away from the venue.

Daisy Johnson is accused of making racist remarks and gestures towards the security guard, including repeatedly using the N-word, outside Ko Ko Lounge in Rochdale last Saturday night.

The 21-year-old, who worked at Asda’s click-and-collect counter in the town, allegedly tried to grab the bouncer’s phone after realising that her outburst had been recorded.

Video footage later posted by Platinum Security Events, which supplies staff to the nightclub, appears to show Johnson, who is believed to have been drinking, shouting: “Look at the state of you, you big b**** m*****. Look at the f****** state of you.”

She then appeared to make monkey gestures before attempting to knock the camera from the bouncer’s hand. She also allegedly abused another security guard and a clubgoer.

Greater Manchester Police are investigating the incident, while Johnson has reportedly lost her job at the supermarket.

Johnson has since deleted her social media accounts after the footage was shared online and has reportedly left her hometown to stay with friends in another city.

A witness said she saw what was happening and attempted to intervene, but claimed the abuse was then directed at her.

She said: “She was imitating a monkey, dancing like a gorilla, while calling the bouncer the N-word multiple times and calling him ‘sewer trash’.”

“I came outside and saw this poor man being verbally abused by her right in his face.

“I said: ‘What are you doing? You can’t be doing that. Just go home.’ Then she turned the abuse towards me.”

Sharing the footage of the alleged tirade, Platinum Security Events said: “Normally, we wouldn’t share footage of incidents involving security staff. However, on this occasion, we feel it’s important to raise awareness of the abuse door supervisors can face simply for doing their jobs.

“We fully understand the nature of the job. We recognise that our staff will encounter challenging situations, verbal abuse, threats and sometimes physical confrontations. But just because abuse is expected does not mean it should be accepted.

“Why should anyone have to go to work and be subjected to this level of abuse from a member of the public?

“Door supervisors are there to keep customers, staff and venues safe. They deserve the same dignity and respect as anyone else in their workplace.

“Nobody should have to tolerate this kind of treatment simply for doing their job.”

Greater Manchester Police say they are investigating the allegation of racial abuse - and it is understood that Johnson has been sacked from her job at Asda

Greater Manchester Police are investigating the allegation of racial abuse, and Johnson is understood to have been dismissed from her job at Asda

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that an investigation had been opened. No arrests have been made.

Asda confirmed Johnson had been fired from its Rochdale store. A spokesperson told the Mail: ‘We do not tolerate any form of abusive behaviour from our colleagues.

‘Having reviewed the available evidence, it’s clear that the colleague’s conduct fell significantly short of the standards we expect and they have been dismissed with immediate effect.’

A source at the store where she worked said Johnson had been off work with stress since last week and is now believed to have been fired.

Last night her mother Cheryl King said at the family home in Rochdale: ‘She does not want to say anything. She is not in the right frame of mind to say anything.

‘She has had so much abuse and even death threats that she has been in hiding.

‘She is mortified about how this has been portrayed. She knows what she did was wrong but the whole video has not been put out there. People have been on TikTok telling lies.’

Ms King added: ‘As her mother I would only like to say that she is a good girl, a good hard working girl but I don’t want to say any more.’

Greater Manchester Police said: ‘We are aware of reports of racial abuse in Rochdale town centre which are being discussed on social media.

‘A report has been made to GMP and enquiries are ongoing. We are reviewing available evidence and speaking to those involved. We are asking anyone with information that may assist our investigation to please come forward and contact us on 101 quoting log 662 of 20/10/2026.’
