Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian have been linked romantically for several months, though both have kept much of their relationship out of the spotlight. The couple, who reportedly began dating earlier this year, have offered few personal details. In a rare comment, however, the Formula 1 star recently discussed his connection with Kardashian’s children and why he enjoys spending time with them.
According to the Daily Mail, Hamilton spoke about Kardashian during a panel at the US Grand Prix in Austin. The racing champion and the beauty mogul have largely avoided discussing their romance publicly, but they have continued to show support for each other in public.
During the event at Circuit of the Americas, Hamilton reflected on the joy he gets from the children in his life. “My niece and nephew always gave me a lot of happiness,” he said before turning to Kardashian’s four children with her ex-husband, Kanye West. Referring to North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, he added, “My girlfriend’s kids, I love spending time with them.”
The 41-year-old driver also revealed that he helped bring a new companion into the children’s lives. “She’s got four, so I’m getting to play with these kids. I got them a dog this year, so little Halo is a new member of that family,” Hamilton shared.
Hamilton’s uncommon remarks came just days after Kardashian appeared to reference him indirectly during the latest season of The Kardashians. In one episode, she received a phone call from a mystery man and chose not to identify the person she was seeing while the show was being filmed. Still, she told viewers that she was feeling very happy.
When producers pushed her to disclose the man’s identity, Kardashian replied, “Oh, you guys are really trying to get this out of me.” She continued, “Let me just say this – I am just really, really happy. That’s all I’ll say for now.”

Hamilton is the second high-profile person Kardashian has dated since her divorce from West. After their legal split, she entered a relationship with Pete Davidson. That romance was followed by considerable drama, including public criticism and threats from the rapper toward the SNL star.
Several years have passed since Kardashian and Ye went their separate ways. Speaking to The Times, the SKIMS founder explained that she intentionally stayed away from dating for a period. “I was really single for five years. And that felt great,” she said.
During that time, Kardashian devoted herself to her four children and her professional projects. “I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with,” she explained. The mother of four said she felt no “rush” to begin dating again and emphasized that her life was not “empty” after the divorce.
Instead, she wanted to use the time to focus on personal growth. “I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it,” the beauty mogul said.
Kardashian later suggested that stepping away from dating ultimately helped reshape her life. “The universe works in your favor when you just allow it to,” the reality star remarked.
