Cara Delevingne Debuts Dramatic Blonde Bombshell Transformation

Cara Delevingne once again demonstrated her remarkable style versatility, unveiling a dramatically different appearance during a New York photoshoot.

The 34-year-old supermodel traded the chestnut-brown hair she had worn in recent months for a striking transformation into a platinum blonde.

Almost unrecognisable beneath the bold blonde wig, Ms Delevingne posed theatrically in the centre of a busy Manhattan street.

The British-born star wore the long wig with a blunt fringe and reclined on a zebra crossing in a dramatic black-and-silver gown, teamed with knee-high fishnet socks.

Her eye-catching outfit was a bespoke Swarovski crystal mesh design, featuring a silver embellished column shape and a distinctive cut-out bodice.

In recent years, the catwalk star has become more selective about her professional commitments. She stepped away from full-time modelling around a decade ago to explore acting and music.

According to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, Ms Delevingne has £34.9million held in Cara & Co, the company through which she channels income from modelling and acting.

Earlier this year, she officially stepped into music with the release announcement for her debut double single, I Forgot and Out of My Head.

Having already made her mark as a model and actress, the star is now pursuing the music world and has announced an 11-date tour spanning the UK, Europe and North America.

Although she has previously worked with artists including St Vincent and Fiona Apple, Ms Delevingne is now taking centre stage with her own solo project.

Her acting career has also included major film appearances in Suicide Squad, alongside television roles in Carnival Row and Only Murders in the Building.

Most recently, she appeared with Jordan Firstman and Diego Calva in the A24 comedy-drama Club Kid.

The film centres on a chaotic New York underground party promoter and premiered earlier this year in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival.

Delevingne also made her West End debut in 2024, appearing in Cabaret and describing the experience as “one of the most intense and rewarding things I’ve ever done”.

In fashion, Ms Delevingne recently served as the face of Rag & Bone’s Fall campaign.

She has also moved beyond simply representing Topshop, taking a creative-equity role and helping launch a 16-piece capsule denim range as its official co-designer.

At the same time, she remains a sought-after ambassador for leading beauty brands and recently headlined L’Oréal’s Spring/Summer Paris Fashion Week show.

Ms Delevingne appears to have developed a habit of buying multi-million-pound mansions in Los Angeles.

Earlier this year, the British supermodel and actress purchased her third property in 18 months after her £5.5million California home burnt down.

She had lived in that mansion since 2019, but also bought actress Milla Jovovich’s house for £7.9million in 2024.

However, she didn’t live in the property before selling it a year later for £8.2million.

Six months prior to this, she spent £8.1million on actress Jennifer Lawrence’s Los Angeles home, which was back on the market for £8.5million, with the US property firm North Hillcrest reporting she did not move in.

Her new £8.5million five-bedroom home in the Santa Monica mountains – with a pool and terraced gardens – was bought from a female businesswoman, who’s clearly made a tidy profit, having picked it up for £5million in 2021.
