Sofía Vergara and Dan Reynolds, the frontman of Imagine Dragons, both brought plenty of glamour to the 2026 LACMA Art + Film Gala — just hours after the actress poked fun at speculation about her dating life.
Vergara, 54, appeared alone on the red carpet at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Saturday, November 7, wearing a strapless black lace gown by Celia Kritharioti. Reynolds, 39, posed for photographers elsewhere at the event in a chocolate-brown tuxedo jacket paired with black trousers.
The pair were first photographed together on October 27, when TMZ captured them at a group dinner in Los Angeles. Since then, the Modern Family alum has dismissed suggestions that she and the singer are romantically involved.
“I wanna go,” Vergara reportedly told DeuxMoi photographers on Friday, November 6, after being asked about her dating status. When they followed up by asking whether she was seeing a rock star, she laughed and replied jokingly, “I wish.”

Vergara was previously married to Joe Manganiello from 2015 to 2023, claiming they broke up over family planning disagreements. They’ve kept their distance since finalizing their divorce in 2024. (Vergara also shares son Manolo, 35, with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez.)
“I haven’t talked to her since,” Manganiello, 49, said on an October appearance of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy. “I sometimes see pictures of the two of us when we first got together, and it’s heartbreaking when you look at these two people with life ahead of them. But for us, we didn’t know what was ahead.”

Reynolds, for his part, ended his four-year romance with actress Minka Kelly last month. Before dating Kelly, 46, Reynolds was married to Aja Volkman. Reynolds and Volkman, 46, tied the knot in 2011 before briefly separating in 2018.

“We decided to just keep working. … It’s been a work in progress, and we’re doing great,” Reynolds, who shares four children with Volkman, exclusively told Us in April 2019 of their then-reconciliation. “My biggest goal in this realm of the platform I’ve been given is to show that everybody has issues.”
He added at the time, “Marriage is not perfect. Relationships aren’t perfect. My body [isn’t perfect]. I have autoimmune diseases. I have ulcerative colitis. I have ankylosing spondylitis. I have depression. I have anxiety. We’re all humans.”
Nearly three years later, Reynolds and Volkman called it quits for good.
“I am saddened to say that after many beautiful years together Aja and I have separated. Being great parents to our children is our number one priority,” Reynolds tweeted in 2022. “Thank you for always supporting us with love and care for all these years.”
Reynolds and Volkman’s divorce was finalized in 2024.
