Authorities are currently on the lookout for a potential witness to an alleged sexual assault that occurred earlier this year in Melbourne.
The incident reportedly happened at the Billboard Saturdays nightclub, located on Russell Street in Melbourne East, during the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Investigators have reason to believe that this man assisted the female victim after she collapsed at the venue. In an effort to identify him, police have circulated images of the individual.
The photos depict a tall Caucasian man, clean-shaven, with short hair parted to one side.
He is seen wearing a long-sleeved, button-up shirt, paired with pants and sneakers.
A different man has already been arrested in relation to the alleged sexual assault at the nightclub and another at nearby Corrs Lane.
Police confronted the 22-year-old French national at Sydney International Airport on January 4.
He was extradited to Melbourne the following night and charged with six offences, including two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
He will next appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on May 22.
