Two Suspects Apprehended Following Police Interception of Alleged ‘Kill Car’ in Western Sydney

Two men are in custody after police in an alleged ‘kill car’ in Sydney’s west with a shotgun, jerry cans of fuel and sledgehammers.
Police allege the pair were planning a violent crime, after also finding baseball bats, duct tape, cable ties and pillowcases in the car.

Early yesterday morning, at approximately 2:40 a.m., authorities launched an investigation following reports of a home invasion on Karangi Road in Whalan. Witnesses informed police that four men had forcibly entered the residence, reportedly armed with a gun and a hammer.

Before officers arrived at the scene, the intruders fled in a black Mercedes SUV.

Later that day, police observed two individuals in the garage of a property on Issanthe Street. The men were seen transferring items from a Mercedes SUV into a Hyundai hatchback.

As the hatchback departed the location, police conducted a stop.

The two men were subsequently arrested, and a search of the Marsden Park residence was carried out by the Raptor Squad, during which the black Mercedes was reportedly confiscated.

Both men, 22, were charged with multiple offences, including possessing unauthorised firearm[s].

They were both refused bail to appear at Mount Druitt Local Court today.
