Darrell Sheets, the beloved star of the popular series Storage Wars, once candidly shared his battle with depression, a struggle he faced long before his passing.

In a heartfelt Instagram post from June 2018, Sheets described depression as a relentless adversary. “Depression is the Devil’s way of attacking us,” he expressed. “It shows no mercy, taking away our smiles. It comes and goes, ruining relationships and eroding happiness. For some, it even leads to suicide. It wipes out all thoughts of positivity and is a constant 24/7 battle, offering no respite for those suffering.”

He emphasized the reality and severity of depression, urging others to show compassion towards those grappling with the disorder. “So please, the next time someone tells you they have depression, be kind,” he advised. “Understand they spend every minute suffering.”

Before his untimely death at 67, which is suspected to have been a suicide, Sheets interacted with fans during a visit to his antique shop, Havasu Show Me Your Junk, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. According to reports from TMZ, he was seen engaging warmly with admirers and posing for photos around 5 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 21.
