Real Housewives of Orange County star Katie Ginella is currently having a difficult sophomore season on the show, as she’s at odds with multiple ladies on the cast. Now, she’s opening up about why fans won’t see her on the upcoming trip to Amsterdam with the rest of her castmates.

Season 19 of RHOC premiered in July, but fans received word in May that Katie, 41, had been excluded from the trip to the Netherlands. Of course, no one knew why at the time, besides reports that she wasn’t on good terms with the cast. 

Katie was recently on the Out & About podcast, where she spoke about what happened. The interviewer began discussing how the cast had been rallying against her and then brought up the trip. Katie responded, “I did not go.”

“I actually asked to show up. I wanted to resolve things with the ladies, but I think Bravo actually did me a favor by not wanting me to go because they saw how crazy it was against me,” Katie said. “And they were kind of protecting me.”

Regarding her future on RHOC, Katie went on, “That might have, you know, sealed my fate with this cast. I don’t know, but if that’s the case, that’s the case. It’s not for me. I don’t look at this as ‘I have to have it, I have to have it.’ If it’s not for me, it’s not for me.”

The podcast host then asked if Katie thought the cast was playing up their anger, and she said, “Yes.” She continued, “But here’s the thing, fans are not dumb. You can tell what’s authentic and inauthentic. So, why don’t we just fight about real stuff?”

Katie’s comments about her future on RHOC come amid rumors that she may be fired and not return for the show’s 20th season. Despite this, she has gotten a degree of fan support as some feel she’s being held to a different standard than other ladies on the show.
