Mother’s Explosive Vaccine Claims Lead to $2M Bond Revocation

Andrea Shaw finds herself confronting another major challenge as she faces murder charges.

During a court appearance on July 14 in Idaho, a judge in Payette County rescinded her $2 million bail, as reported by KTVB. Shaw has yet to enter a plea in response to the charges.

Both Shaw’s defense team and the prosecution presented contrasting narratives regarding the tragic loss of her 18-month-old twins, the outlet noted. Shaw had previously suggested that the fatalities might be linked to vaccinations, and she also proposed that heat inside their home could have been a contributing factor.

Requests for further statements were made to Shaw’s defense attorney, seeking more insight into the case.

The mother is formally charged with two counts of first-degree murder related to the demise of her young children, according to a press release shared by the Payette Police Department.

Prosecutors argued at the July 14 hearing that medical experts determined the twins died of suffocation, saying it was consistent with the coroner’s findings, KTVB reported. They also alleged that heat was ruled out as a contributing factor in their deaths.

Meanwhile, Shaw’s attorney, Joseph Filicetti, told KTVB that he, like Shaw and her husband Nathanial Shaw, believes the children’s deaths were related to vaccines.

“They were looking at it as a vaccine death, and that’s still what I believe it to be,” Filicetti said, before noting, “I’m not a medical expert.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states there is no evidence that vaccines cause autism or are linked to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The agency also says extensive research has shown that receiving multiple vaccines during the same visit is safe and does not increase the risk of adverse health outcomes.
