In Newberry, Florida, a troubling incident unfolded as 38-year-old Tiffany Nicole Wynn was apprehended under accusations of attempting to deliberately hit a woman with her vehicle. Disturbingly, two minors were reportedly in the car with her at the time of the alleged incident.
According to a report from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, the episode occurred around 7 p.m. on June 18. The victim, who was walking along West Newberry Road while conversing on the phone, spotted Wynn’s vehicle heading westbound. The two women have a long-standing history of conflicts, having shared a residence on the same property for several years. Their past confrontations reportedly involved theft and physical altercations, although Wynn had recently moved away from the property.
The victim recounted to the deputy that Wynn’s vehicle unexpectedly veered to the opposite side of the road, executed a turnaround in a ditch, and then sped back in her direction. She claimed that as Wynn’s vehicle closed in, it swerved off the road in an apparent attempt to strike her, forcing her to leap into a ditch to avoid harm. The victim expressed that she feared for her life during the harrowing encounter.
While the deputy gathered the victim’s statement, a juvenile approached and corroborated her account, asserting that Wynn had indeed attempted to hit the victim with her car. The juvenile, who admitted to being a passenger in the car, described witnessing Wynn accelerating towards the woman. He also mentioned that his brother was present in the vehicle during the incident.
While the deputy was speaking with the victim, a juvenile reportedly walked up and said Wynn had “definitely tried to hit [the victim] with the car earlier.” When the deputy asked how the juvenile knew this, the juvenile reportedly said he had been in the car and had seen the whole incident; he said Wynn had accelerated toward the victim. The juvenile said his brother was also in the car when this happened.
Wynn has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of child neglect without great bodily harm. She has no criminal convictions, but she was arrested on June 12, 2026, for drug possession and assigned to Drug Court. Judge Jonathan Ramsey ordered her held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold her without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.
