A deeply moving scene took place in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State as Mr. Alamu, the husband of the kidnapped school principal, was overcome with emotion while pleading for immediate action to secure her freedom and that of the other abductees.
His heartfelt appeal came during a visit from Governor Seyi Makinde to the community affected by the recent kidnappings, which targeted both teachers and students.
With tears in his eyes, Mr. Alamu implored the governor to ramp up efforts for the safe recovery of his wife and the others still in captivity. He expressed grave concern for their well-being and called for prompt intervention.
It’s worth noting that gunmen recently launched attacks on several schools within the Esiele community of Oriire Local Government Area, including the Community High School, Esiele, resulting in the abduction of teachers and students.
This incident has sparked widespread alarm throughout the state, prompting residents, community leaders, and concerned citizens to demand urgent actions to secure the victims’ release and bolster security measures in the region.
