Heidi Klum Shares Throwback Photos to Celebrate Daughter Lou Samuel’s 17th Birthday

Heidi Klum marked her youngest daughter Lou Samuel’s 17th birthday with a heartfelt tribute.

On Oct. 9, the supermodel posted a collection of childhood photos and videos charting Lou’s journey from infancy to her teenage years.

“Happy 17th birthday my darling Lou,” Klum wrote on Instagram. “I love you so very much and I am so proud of you and everything you do.”

She followed the message with a question many parents can relate to: “Where has all the time gone?”

The Instagram carousel began with a picture of Klum resting beside Lou as a baby. In another video, Lou’s older brother Henry met his newborn sister. Additional snapshots captured Lou growing up with her siblings, Leni, Henry and Johan.

The birthday tribute concluded with footage of a young Lou confidently strolling along an imaginary runway in a sparkling dress while her family encouraged her from behind the camera.

Klum also shared a look at the birthday celebration on her Instagram Stories. One image featured wrapped presents, pink-frosted cupcakes and a framed portrait of Lou, while another showed more than a dozen heart-shaped balloons in shades of red and pink.

Lou had joined her mother in Paris just six days earlier for Fashion Week.

The pair attended the Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2027 show on Oct. 3, marking Lou’s first major Fashion Week appearance. They also made an appearance at the BoF500 Gala. Klum called the trip an “early birthday present” for her daughter.

“I thought it would be the perfect first fashion moment in Paris during Fashion Week for my beautiful Lou,” Klum told British Vogue.

Speaking to the magazine, Lou said she felt nervous ahead of the high-profile event.

“I feel like I’ve always been in the spotlight in some way — actually, ever since I was born,” she said. “It’s just part of life for me and my siblings.”

She continued, “But I feel like now that I’m actually going to a real fashion event and experiencing high fashion firsthand, I can somehow express myself more and officially show who I am, instead of just walking around and being photographed. That really means a lot to me. To be honest, I’m totally nervous because it’s my first time.”
