Police Provide Heartbreaking Update on Viral Delta Killing with Family’s Consent

The Delta State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, has provided a somber update on the widely discussed tragic event in Delta.

Previously, GistReel had reported the unfortunate incident that occurred on April 26, 2026, involving the death of 28-year-old musician Mene Ogidi, also known by his stage names Oghenemine Ogidi or OG Millan, in Effurun, Delta State.

Ogidi met his untimely death after being detained by members of a transport union at Benin Motor Park, located on the Warri-Sapele Expressway, while he was attempting to retrieve a waybill parcel.

‎SP Bright Edafe Breaks Silence

In a recent update shared on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Bright Edafe revealed that the young musician’s body is still held at the mortuary.

He explained that the situation is being treated as a suspected murder case, necessitating an autopsy, a step that the deceased’s family has consented to.

“However, its a case of suspected murder, so autopsy is compulsory and the family also agreed to this”, He stated.
