Following a brief illness, Vibert passed away on December 22, 2022, at a hospital in Florida, according to his manager Sharon Vitro, who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter. The specifics of the ailment were not made clear.
The report claims that his management group confirmed the tragic news.
Ronan, who was born on February 23, 1964, in Cambridge, died at the age of 58. He is best recognized for his work on Saving Mr. Banks, Rome, Dracula, and The Snowman.
He made his acting debut in the 1989 show, Traffik. The series served as the basis for Oscar-winning 2000 film Traffic which was directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Vibert went on to have a successful career on British television as he starred in episodes of Birds Of A Feather, Lovejoy, and Gimme Gimme Gimme.
He also starred in the television mini-series The Buccaneers in 1995 which featured an impressive cast including Mira Sorvino and Carla Gugino.
He went on to make his debut on the big screen with a role opposite John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe in the 2000 flick Shadow Of The Vampire.
Vibert’s continued a successful career in feature films as he starred in 2001’s The Cat’s Meow with Kirsten Dunst, 2002’s The Pianist with Adrien Brody, 2003’s Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life with Angelina Jolie, and 2006’s Tristan + Isolde with James Franco.
The British thespian went on to star in 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks which was nominated for an Oscar.
Vibert portrayed the publisher to Emma Thompson’s Mary Poppins author along with Tom Hanks, Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti and Bradley Whitford.
He went on to star on television series and mini series including Penny Dreadful (2015), The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (2015), Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (2015). Electric Dreams (2017), The Alienist (20188)
Vibert also did voice work for very popular video games including 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and 2018’s Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.
His final role was as Ritter Longerbane in 2019 television series Carnival Row which stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne.
