CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A local woman from Champaign is embarking on an extensive bike journey, covering hundreds of miles, all in an effort to support an initiative focused on constructing homes.
Anne Robin, at the age of 75, has been cycling for 500 miles annually over the past 25 years, raising funds for Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County. To commemorate this remarkable milestone, she is aiming to gather $25,000 in donations, marking the highest target she has ever set. Every dollar is devoted to providing housing solutions for those in need.
Expressing her admiration, Robin remarked, “I am passionate about Habitat for Humanity because it is a truly admirable organization. Among various charities, they strive to minimize overhead costs, channeling most of their resources into securing proper housing for individuals—a persistently urgent issue.”
