CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Young children in Champaign recently took on an important task as part of the Champaign Park District’s “Engineering for Good” class, which introduced them to the world of engineering.
In this class, children were presented with problem-solving challenges centered around community issues. They were then tasked with creating solutions to assist people effectively. This initiative is a component of the district’s science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program, and instructors emphasized the significant benefits kids gain from participating in these courses.
