(NewsNation) — A former Chick-fil-A employee in Texas is facing a series of felony charges after allegedly diverting over $80,000 in fake refunds to his own credit cards following his dismissal.
Keyshun Jones is accused of initiating this fraudulent activity in November 2025 at a Chick-fil-A in Grapevine, Texas. The scheme came to light after the restaurant owner reported a theft incident, as stated by the Grapevine Police Department.
Upon investigation, surveillance footage reportedly captured Jones, who had been terminated approximately a month prior, unauthorizedly accessing the counter. According to police, he generated close to 800 fictitious orders for macaroni and cheese trays, subsequently refunding them to his personal credit cards.

The estimated financial damage from the scheme surpasses $80,000. Officials have yet to explain how Jones was able to gain access to the register post-termination.
