SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Georgia fans looking for a special way to remember Uga X can now add a limited edition bobblehead to their collection.
The University of Georgia and the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum teamed up to commemorate the life of the late bulldog, known as Que.
The bobbleheads will be individually numbered from one to 2,023 in honor of Que’s final year as the university’s mascot.
For $30, the collectibles will be available for sale at The Red Zone and The Clubhouse in Athens and the Bobblehead Hall’s online store.
The trinket will feature a UGA logo base bearing the name Uga X on the front and Que on the back. The bulldog’s tongue is out as he sports a custom-made jersey.
“Bobbleheads are the ultimate way to honor and celebrate a person or mascot, and we think this bobblehead of Uga X is the perfect tribute to his amazing life,” said National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar.
About Que
All 11 official bulldogs who have served as Uga have been part of a line of pure white English bulldogs owned by the Frank W. “Sonny” Seiler family in Savannah.
After a three-month audition, Uga X was formally crowned as the successor for his grandfather, Uga IX, also known as Russ, on Nov. 21, 2015.
As the Bulldogs’ good luck charm, Uga X retired the winningest mascot in Georgia history.
On the football field, the Bulldogs had a 91-18 record during his tenure, with back-to-back College Football Playoff National Championships, two SEC titles and victories in the Rose, Sugar, Orange and Peach Bowls.
“Uga X is loved throughout the state of Georgia and well beyond by Bulldogs fans, alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members who had the privilege of watching and interacting with the beloved bulldog for many years!” said Sklar.
