
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A collision on Saturday morning involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck on Interstate 70 in Cumberland County left one individual hospitalized.
According to a release from the Illinois State Police, Troop 9 units were dispatched to the scene of the two-vehicle accident at milepost 113 on the westbound I-70 near Greenup. The incident occurred at 7:27 a.m. and involved a car and a semi-truck.
The State Police confirmed that the crash resulted in injuries, with one person being taken to the hospital for further treatment.
As part of the investigation, authorities closed the right lane of westbound I-70 at around 7:59 a.m. Traffic resumed normal flow when all lanes were reopened by approximately 10:42 a.m.
