If you are among those who visited an ATM at certain 7-Eleven locations, you might be eligible for a share of a $2.25 million settlement that has arisen from a recent class action lawsuit. It is important to note that the opportunity to file your claim is quickly approaching its deadline.
A lawsuit launched in California back in 2019 took aim at Bank of America for allegedly imposing dual out-of-network charges for a single balance inquiry made by customers at ATMs located within 7-Eleven stores.
While Bank of America stands firm in its denial of any misconduct, it ultimately decided to settle the case for $2.25 million.
Do I qualify for this Bank of America settlement?
To determine your eligibility, consider whether you are, or were, a Bank of America customer who utilized FCTI-owned ATMs at 7-Eleven locations between May 1, 2018, and November 16, 2021.
Not sure if you qualify? A simple indicator might be whether you’ve received a notification regarding the settlement, either in the form of an email or a postcard.
Former account holders who are notified of the settlement will need to submit a claim and select a preferred payment method. To file a claim, you’ll need the class member ID listed on the email or postcard notice you received.
Current account holders need to take no action, settlement administrators say.
How much will I receive?
Payments will vary based on how many current account holders, who receive relief immediately, were impacted, and how many former account holders file a valid claim.
Settlement administrators say payments will be proportional.

When is the deadline, and when will payments begin?
The deadline to file a claim is June 29, 2026.
A final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for August 2026.
