LOS ANGELES – On Monday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced it has launched an investigation into fresh allegations of sexual battery against hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently serving a four-year sentence related to prostitution offenses.
According to a report from NBC News, a male music producer and publicist claims that during a 2020 photo shoot at a Los Angeles warehouse, Combs engaged in inappropriate behavior. Allegedly, Combs exposed himself while masturbating and asked the producer to join in, later throwing a soiled shirt at him.
The identity of the accuser has been withheld in the police documentation. He reportedly refrained from reporting the incident for years due to feelings of shame. However, he decided to come forward in September, following Combs’ conviction on separate charges, by filing a complaint with police in Largo, Florida.
Combs’ legal representative has not yet responded to a request for comment from The Associated Press regarding these recent claims.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed receipt of the official report from Florida authorities last Friday and has initiated an investigation into the matter.
The report also details an incident from March 2021 in which the accuser claims two men covered his head before Combs came into the room and called him a snitch, according to NBC.
Combs was convicted in July of flying his girlfriends and male sex workers around the country to engage in drug-fueled sexual encounters in multiple places over many years. However, he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him behind bars for life.
He is set to be released in May 2028, though he can earn reductions in his time behind bars through his participation in substance abuse treatment and other prison programs.
