On Thursday, Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, delightedly introduced her newborn daughter to the world, sharing a touching photograph and heartfelt words about her new addition.
Taking to the social platform X, Leavitt gushed, “On May 1st, Viviana, affectionately known as ‘Vivi,’ became a part of our family, and our hearts overflowed with love the moment she arrived.”
Expressing gratitude and joy, she continued, “She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adapting to life with his new baby sister. We are savoring every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.”
Leavitt also extended her thanks to well-wishers, stating, “Thank you to everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy – I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.”
The shared image captures a tender moment, with Leavitt holding her daughter in what seems to be the cozy confines of the newborn’s room, a scene filled with warmth and familial love.
The White House press secretary began her maternity leave at the end of last month. No specific person was selected to take over her role while she is out, but there is set to be a rotating cast of administration officials which could also reportedly feature President Trump and Vice President Vance.
Leavitt, 28, is the youngest White House press secretary, and the first known to be pregnant while in the role.
