TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Tampa resident has been declared guilty of first-degree murder after a sexual encounter spiraled into violence in April 2023.
The court found Dewayne Gallishaw responsible for the murder of a man they invited to their home for a threesome with him and his boyfriend. This incident took place at their apartment on March Harbor Place.

Over the course of a week-long trial, jurors assessed a wealth of evidence that included testimonies from witnesses, footage from body cameras, and aerial surveillance video before deciding on a guilty verdict.
The fatal incident occurred on April 19, 2023. Investigations revealed that Gallishaw entered a different room while his boyfriend and the guest were together, retrieved a firearm, and threatened his boyfriend before fatally shooting the guest in the head.
The boyfriend ran into a bedroom, where he locked the door and called 911. However, Gallishaw continued shooting, sending bullets through the closed door. Prosecutors said the bullets went into another apartment and injured a 73-year-old woman.
Gallishaw, who is facing up to life in prison, is scheduled to be sentenced on August 28, according to the State Attorney’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit.
