Clark Co. Sheriff’s Office on scene of Westfield crash; area to be closed for hours

In Sangamon County, Illinois, a tragic incident resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man following a vehicular accident early Thursday morning. The man succumbed to blunt force injuries, authorities revealed.

On Friday, Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon confirmed that the deceased was Brandon Pond from New Berlin. Pond was the driver and the only person in the vehicle when it veered off the road and crashed during the early hours of January 1, close to the 17000 block of Lead Line Road.
