BEAUFORT, S.C. () — The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and the Bluffton Police Department have located an 18-year-old wanted by Bluffton Police for attempted murder and firearms charges.
According to police, Harrison Acker was spotted in the area of Simmonsville Road before he ran into a wooded area between Simmonsville and Buck Island Roads.
At 9:30 p.m. on April 11, police suspended the search for Acker but he was not yet located. Today, Tuesday, April 16, News 3 found that the booking list says Acker was arrested yesterday, April 15, and was ultimately released 10 hours later.
His charges are currently listed as possession of a weapon during a violent crime; if not also sentenced to life without parole or death as well as attempted murder by discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
