Trump Appoints Special Envoy to Aid US Landowners Impacted by New Green Energy Rules

Country music sensation John Rich has been appointed as a Special Envoy for American Landowners by President Trump, as revealed in a recent announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Rich took to social media platform X on June 8 to express his gratitude for the opportunity to bridge the gap between the federal government and the historically overlooked voices of farmers, ranchers, and landowners. His message concluded with an American flag emoji, symbolizing his patriotic commitment to the cause.

Aware of the many challenges faced by these communities, especially in light of controversial green energy policies, Rich has previously voiced his concerns. On June 7, he commented on a post by Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, highlighting some of the burdens these policies impose on farmers and landowners.

Rich is not alone in the music industry with his conservative views. Recently, RedState highlighted Jon Ondrasik of Five for Fighting, who has publicly supported his friend Michele Tafoya, a former sports broadcaster, in her bid for a U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota.

President Trump has afforded me the great honor to serve in his administration as the “Special Envoy for American Landowners.” In this role, I look forward to representing and advocating for landowners’ rights against any entity that chooses to harass or intimidate them in an effort to achieve goals contrary to those of the President. I look forward to defending our farmers and ranchers

Rich already seems aware of some of the issues with which many farmers and landowners are burdened in relation to the Left’s wrongheaded green energy policies. For example, on June 7, he wrote on an X post by GOP gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman:

A fight for the ages is brewing over the destruction of Upstate New York’s farmland. I’ll put my boots on the ground there soon. @GovKathyHochul is allowing foreign entities to overrun American farmers with 50 square miles of Chinese solar panels. “Love Thy Neighbor” is now the official battle cry.

John Rich isn’t the only Conservative in the music world, as RedState recently wrote about Jon Ondrasik of Five for Fighting’s strong endorsement of his friend, former pro sports broadcaster Michele Tafoya, for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.

He’s also been a regular feature in these pages. Rep.Tim Burchett (TN-02), as we wrote earlier in June, suggested his friend Rich as an alternative performer for the Freedom 250 show; when many of the artists – like Martina McBride – dropped out.
