Phase three of the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 got underway on November 18 and will commence on December 10 in Hyderabad at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The race is intensifying as the 12 teams are fighting to earn themselves a playoff berth. As the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 enters its last month, we will take a look at the top raiders of the tournament who made a lasting impression and helped their respective teams to move closer than ever to secure a position in the knockouts.
Arjun Deshwal (Team – Jaipur Pink Panthers)
Arjun Deshwal of the Jaipur Pink Panthers is the top raider in the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 (as of November 30, 2022). In season nine of the Pro Kabaddi League, the star raider for the Jaipur team has amassed 229 raid points in 18 games. With 179 raids, he also tops the number of successful raids. Arjun is a native of the Uttar Pradesh city of Muzaffarnagar. He was picked for the 2021 PKL Season 8 Auction. Arjun is the third most expensive player in the league after being purchased by the Jaipur Pink Panther for 96 lakhs. He was kept by the Panthers in the elite player category for PKL Season 9, which is proving to be a great decision for the franchise.
Bharat Hooda (Team – Bengaluru Bulls)
Bharat Hooda of the Bengaluru Bulls is ranked second among the season’s top raiders. The Bulls raider has 219 raid points after 14 games, 10 less than Arjun Deshwal of the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Additionally, he has had 175 successful raids so far this season. Bharat even had a strong performance in the Bulls’ previous matchup with Dabang Delhi KC, scoring 23 raid points. He was also the leading raider after the Pune leg, but Arjun Deshwal of Jaipur has surpassed him. But anything might happen as there are still a few games remaining, so it’s only a matter of time. Because of his outstanding debut season in PKL 8 before Season 9, the Bengaluru-based team decided to retain the raider.

Maninder Singh (Team – Bengal Warriors)
The third one on the list is the most consistent raider in the Pro Kabaddi League history. He is none other than Maninder Singh. He not only has the second most raid points (1201) and successful raids (937), behind Pardeep Narwal in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League, but also is among the top raiders in the season nine of the tournament. He has accumulated 208 raid points, just behind Arjun Deshwal (229) and Bharat Hooda (219) and collected 159 successful raids and is fourth on this list. What makes Maninder special is his ability to go through any defense, running hand touch, and spectacular reach.
