Ahead of Australia’s match against Paraguay, Football Australia issued a heartfelt statement, sharing its deep sympathy for Cesare’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
“Football Australia extends its sincere condolences to lifelong football fan Cesare Liberatore and his family after the 18-year-old tragically died in a car accident, having just watched the Socceroos’ FIFA World Cup match against the United States at Melbourne’s Federation Square,” the statement read.
