President Biden celebrated the signing of a $95 billion foreign aid package into law, emphasizing its significance for world peace. The majority of the funding in the package is allocated towards supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russia. However, the President did not directly mention that the bill also includes provisions that could result in banning TikTok or mandating a Chinese company to divest from the popular social media platform.
The aid package includes a substantial $61 billion designated for Kyiv and an additional $26 billion intended for addressing the Israel-Hamas conflict. The support for this conflict primarily focuses on aiding the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, with an added $1 billion earmarked for providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.
Another $8 billion aims to counter Chinese, with much of those funds going to Taiwan.
