Following the Giants’ heartbreaking 33-32 defeat to the Broncos on Sunday, linebacker Brian Burns was visibly upset, as captured in a video shared by The Athletic.

Burns, who was seen leaving the field in Denver with clenched fists, was clearly frustrated. His emotions boiled over after the Broncos mounted an impressive comeback, scoring 33 points in the fourth quarter.

While the exact words Burns used remain unclear, he was overheard using explicit language and expressing his anger about “stupid ass s–t” as he made his way to the Giants’ locker room, accompanied by backup quarterback Russell Wilson.

Note: The following contains explicit language.

Burns, a standout performer and team captain, was particularly irritated by the Giants’ strategic choice to drop eight players into coverage during the final drive. This decision allowed Denver’s quarterback, Bo Nix, to find time and space to make crucial throws without facing significant pressure.

Burns, a team captain who played lights out, was upset about the Giants’ decision to drop eight into coverage on the final drive, which allowed Denver quarterback Bo Nix time to throw the ball without being pressured.

Denver’s Wil Lutz kicked a 39-yard field goal as time expired to give the Broncos their fourth straight win.

Burns recorded two sacks, three tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits in Sunday’s loss that dropped the Giants to 2-5.

Burns, who took responsibility for his errors, explained the Giants gave away the game and called on his teammates to be better.

“I had some faults and some misses…just didn’t execute well enough…we got put in a position where we could have won and we could have took the game, but we gave it back to them,” he said.

“Dabe’s (Giants coach Brian Daboll) gonna take the blame and Dabe is gonna, his fault and this and that. At the end of the day, we’re playing and we got to make that play.”

The Broncos’ 33 fourth-quarter points were the most in NFL history by any team that was shut out for the first three quarters, according to ESPN.

The Giants lost leads of 19-0 and 26-8.

Daboll chucked his headset on the sideline as time expired.

The Giants have an opportunity to sweep the Eagles (5-2) in Philadelphia on Sunday after Big Blue beat the Birds in Week 6, 34-17.
