“If embracing your Latino roots is important to you, this festival is a must,” shared Issac Domenech, one of the attendees. “It felt like a slice of Mexico right here, and the experience was filled with amazing food, music, and joy.”
This year’s celebration boasted an array of offerings, from food stalls to amusement rides and live shows. A new spotlight was also on the introduction of “Stories of Us,” an art installation that captivated many.
The evocative theme “Somos America,” meaning “We are America,” encapsulated the essence of this year’s Fiesta del Sol.
“We came. We migrated, but we are part of this. We contribute, and we know that, too,” said Juana Medina, co-chair of Fiesta del Sol.
Attendees said the event reflects both the culture and identity of the community.
