Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick’s former cheerleader girlfriend, appeared to miss her first UNC home game of the season Saturday night, just hours after reports of their previously undisclosed breakup emerged.
TMZ reported Friday that the high-profile couple, whose 49-year age difference attracted widespread attention, ended their controversial relationship late last year but chose not to make the split public.
Despite reportedly going their separate ways romantically, Belichick and Hudson continued to appear close in public. The pair were even seen holding hands at the Kentucky Derby in May.
Hudson had been a familiar presence on the UNC sideline, attending every home game this season as well as several road contests. However, she was absent for Saturday’s matchup with Miami as renewed attention focused on her relationship with Belichick.
Belichick, meanwhile, carried on as usual in his trademark UNC hoodie, coaching from the sideline during a narrow defeat against Miami, the nation’s No. 1 college football team.
Chapel Hill was charged with energy throughout the primetime clash, but Hudson, 25, appeared to avoid the spotlight and was not present in her customary high-profile role among UNC players and staff.

In recent weeks, Hudson attended home games against Syracuse, Notre Dame and East Tennessee State. She also accompanied Belichick to Durham for UNC’s major road victory over Duke two weeks earlier.
The two were seen smiling at one another as they walked off the field after that game, before reports of their split became public.
This time, however, Belichick was without the familiar support of his former partner. Her absence did not appear to affect UNC, which pushed Miami to the final quarter in an entertaining, high-scoring contest.
The 74-year-old coach also showed plenty of emotion late in the game, appearing to turn back the clock as he confronted a referee over a call he questioned and made his objections known.
TMZ’s Friday report that Belichick and Hudson had ended their relationship in 2025 reportedly shocked many people, including UNC staff members who said they had not known the couple had separated.
USA Today quoted two staffers who said they were “caught off-guard” by the news. Both anonymous employees said they were “not aware” that the relationship had come to an end.
According to TMZ, Belichick and Hudson remain “close friends” and continue to work together through their business partnerships. Hudson is listed as a director of several companies. The outlet also reported that she has moved on and dated multiple men this year.
Those reports emerged as the Daily Mail published a series of resurfaced photographs showing Belichick and Hudson, whose relationship drew attention because of their age gap, linking arms and holding hands at events throughout 2026.
In April, Hudson referred to Belichick as “Bill the WAG” in a photograph of him supporting her at a cheerleading event. One month later, the pair were pictured holding hands as they made their way through the mud at the Kentucky Derby.

Belichick and Hudson’s 49-year age gap relationship lasted around two years before they split
Back in February, at least two months on from their reported split, the pair were spotted by photographers with their arms intertwined as they sat in the bleachers for a UNC basketball game in Chapel Hill.
The Daily Mail has reached out to both Belichick and Hudson for comment.
During the course of their romance, meanwhile, Hudson amassed an impressive $9 million property portfolio, as first reported by the Daily Mail.
She has snapped up at least four properties, including one worth $3 million, which were all purchased after she met the former New England Patriots coach.
Even more impressively, she has also paid off the mortgages on each of the homes, with her primary residence listed as a two-bedroom cottage in Cape Cod.
Records also show that she has registered 18 companies, several with names that suggest she had, or has, some control over Belichick’s affairs.
She had been operating as Belichick’s de facto manager during their relationship, and it appears she is still involved with him from a business perspective if not a romantic one.
Her control of his affairs hit the headlines most notably during a CBS Sunday Morning interview back in April 2025.
Hudson, sitting out of shot, muscled in on reporter Tony Dokoupil’s line of questioning about how the pair met, shouting out: ‘We’re not talking about this.’
CBS broadcast the multiple interruptions made by Hudson throughout the interview, with TMZ later reporting that she ‘walked out and delayed filming by 30 minutes’ and at one point even corrected Belichick while he was discussing football.

More recently, Belichick was forced to deny that Jordon has been ‘trying to control UNC’s football program,’ calling the claims ‘ridiculous’ in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in September.
To reports she is involved in virtually everything he does, Belichick responded that that is a ‘flat-out lie.’
Prior to his relationship with Hudson, Belichick was married to his ex-wife Debby for 30 years, before they separated prior to the 2004 NFL season.
He was then in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Linda Holliday for approximately 16 years, from 2007 to 2022.
