Oz Pearlman, the renowned mentalist, has opted out of his scheduled appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this Monday night. Pearlman was originally slated to be a guest on the show, joining the host amidst a turbulent period for the comedian.
The decision to withdraw follows closely on the heels of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner incident over the weekend. Pearlman was supposed to enchant the audience with his magic tricks, performing for the President, the First Lady, and the elite gathering. However, after a controversial monologue by Kimmel, both President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump publicly demanded Kimmel’s dismissal, branding his remarks as “hateful.”

In light of these events, ABC’s website now lists podcaster Jon Lovett as the new guest scheduled to appear in place of Pearlman.
