Mother Vows Revelation After Daughter’s Tragic Shooting in Million-Dollar Home

In the wake of a tragic incident, a heartbroken mother has issued a stark declaration: “the truth will come out.” This follows the discovery of her 18-year-old daughter’s body in a high-profile setting—a residence tied to a prominent political figure’s family.

On a somber Saturday afternoon, the lifeless body of Yoseliani Marte was uncovered by authorities within the confines of a million-dollar estate nestled in Boston. The property, valued at $1.15 million, is owned by Conan Harris, the spouse of Massachusetts Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, though neither is reported to reside there.

The tragic demise of Marte, concluded by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, was caused by a single gunshot wound. However, as reported by Boston25News, the circumstances surrounding her death remain under rigorous investigation.

Elenie Ocasio, Marte’s devastated mother, stands firm in her conviction that her daughter was not suicidal, asserting instead that she fell victim to murder.

“My daughter did not deserve this, and it’s all going to come out to light,” Ocasio passionately expressed to the press. “Everything’s gonna come out.”

As of Thursday, Boston authorities had not announced any arrests or charges in connection to Marte’s death.

Marte was living at home in Dorchester, the largest neighborhood in Boston, but visiting a boyfriend on the day she died, her family told WCVB.

Ocasio said that she was still in ‘shock’ at her daughter’s death inside the eight–bedroom, four–bathroom house in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood.

‘You look at me right now, and I’m not shedding tears,’ she told Boston25News.

The mother added that she still had ‘not seen my baby,’ as she continued looking for answers.

‘I have not seen her laid out yet,’ Ocasio said. ‘It has not hit me yet. I’m not grieving yet.’

She also asked why no one had called her or 911 in relation to her daughter’s death.

In a GoFundMe fundraiser, Ocasio wrote that her daughter ‘tragically lost her life at just 18 years old.’

As of Thursday night, the fundraiser had raised about $16,700 of an initial $18,000 goal.

Boston police had received a call to ‘investigate a person’ but discovered Marte’s body inside the property upon arrival, Officer James Moccia previously told the Daily Mail.

Marte’s death was being investigated by the Boston police’s Homicide Unit, according to Moccia.

While the house she died in is owned by Harris, he and his wife Pressley do not live there.

Harris purchased the house for $340,000 in 2021, and the property was listed for $1.15million last month.

Pressley addressed Marte’s death on her X account on Tuesday, calling what happened a tragedy.

‘I am devastated about the death of Yoseliani Marte, an 18–year–old with so many dreams ahead of her, her life cut short by domestic violence,’ Pressley wrote.

She added: ‘As the parent of a teenager, the thought of a young person violently losing their life in this way is beyond crushing.’

The cause of Marte’s death has not yet been confirmed by the chief medical examiner’s office, and they have not concluded that it was domestic violence.

A spokesperson for Pressley’s office said that the neither the Democratic lawmaker nor her family were involved in the fatal incident, WVLT reported.

A public obituary for Marte recalled her as a ‘beautiful soul whose kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.’

She was survived by her mother, Elenie Ocasio, and her father, Jose Marte, as well as five siblings.

‘Her memory will forever live on through the stories, laughter, and unconditional love she leaves behind,’ the obit read.
