On Saturday, nearly a dozen individuals were injured following a potential boat explosion at the Haulover Sandbar, a well-known tourist hotspot in North Miami Beach, Florida.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, 11 people were transported to the hospital for medical care. However, the exact number of those affected by the incident has yet to be disclosed.
As of 5 p.m., the conditions of the injured individuals remain unknown.
Fire officials responded swiftly, deploying over 25 units to the location shortly after 12:55 p.m. local time. The response included Fireboat 21, Ocean Rescue teams, and collaboration with partner agencies such as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Officials have not yet confirmed if the incident involved an explosion.
“As we’re in the midst of boating season, we want to remind our community to always prioritize safety while out on the water,” fire officials told Fox News Digital. “Make sure your vessel is equipped with a working fire extinguisher and all required safety equipment. Before departure, perform a thorough safety check to ensure your boat is in good working condition and free of potential hazards.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and FBI Miami did not immediately respond to additional inquiries from Fox News Digital.
