Visuals from the scene depict a suspect lying face down as law enforcement officers swiftly detained him following the security breach at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., on April 25, 2026.

Jeanine Pirro, the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, announced that Allen faces charges including two counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence and assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon. She indicated that further charges are likely to follow.

Though Allen was not injured by gunfire, the Secret Service confirmed his capture and subsequent transport to a local hospital for evaluation.

President Donald Trump was whisked away from the venue by Secret Service along with First Lady Melania Trump and other high-level cabinet officials. A Secret Service officer was struck by a bullet in his ballistic vest, and was taken to a local hospital.
