Tragic Fall Claims Life of 65-Year-Old Man Near Grand Canyon’s Skywalk Attraction

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) A tragic accident claimed the life of a 65-year-old man who fell from a 130-foot precipice at the Grand Canyon. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reported that rescue teams were dispatched on Thursday to retrieve the body.

The MCSO revealed that the man had lost his footing, resulting in a fatal slip. His remains were discovered amid unstable rocks at the base of the cliff.

This unfortunate event took place shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, just north of the Grand Canyon West Skywalk—an attraction situated on the canyon’s western rim. The incident occurred within the boundaries of the Hualapai Nation.
