A recent report has unveiled a tragic incident that occurred at Walt Disney World three months ago, where a guest passed away after experiencing cardiac arrest on one of the park’s most beloved rides.
The man, aged 54 and known to have a pre-existing heart condition, encountered a heart-related emergency on April 2. He was enjoying the popular It’s a Small World boat ride in Orlando, Florida at the time, as documented by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services in their theme park injury report.
This visitor to the Magic Kingdom was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically did not survive.
Initially, the incident remained unreported in April. It only became public knowledge when the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services released their quarterly injury report on Wednesday.
Since its grand opening in 1971, the Florida-based theme park has been associated with approximately 70 fatalities, most of which have been attributed to existing health conditions and natural causes, according to various external estimates and media sources.
The iconic It’s a Small World boat ride attraction at Walt Disney World has been a key fixture within Fantasyland since the park opened.
The 54-year-old’s death in April marks the second parkgoer to die after riding the 10-minute gentle boat ride attraction.
A 22-year-old woman with a pre-existing health condition lost consciousness after riding It’s a Small World in Dececember 2014 and later died, according to the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services report.
Walt Disney World did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
