On Monday, DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro declared an intensified effort to tackle adolescent violence in Washington, sparked by a chaotic altercation caught on video over the weekend.
Pirro warned of possible legal actions against both youths and their parents, citing federal laws against contributing to juvenile delinquency, which could result in up to six months of imprisonment for violators.
Addressing the media at a press briefing, Pirro stated, “The events of Saturday night at Chipotle in the Navy Yard, along with the rising trend of such incidents throughout the district, are not just unacceptable—they are violent, perilous, and illegal.”

She emphasized, “This behavior will not be tolerated,” adding a stern message for parents: “We are scrutinizing parental roles to ensure they are held accountable for the disorder affecting this community.”
Pirro further remarked, “These are not mere social gatherings; they are violent disruptions. The incident at Chipotle illustrates not only interpersonal violence but also vandalism and a blatant hijacking of the establishment by individuals who believed they could act without consequences.”

“The city belongs to law-abiding residents, not roaming mobs looking to make a name for themselves or to contribute to the chaos or violence, and to get social media attention,” she added.
“We’re coming for you and we’re coming for your parents,” she declared, threatening charges and fines up to $500 for all curfew violators as well.
