A wealthy influencer died after undergoing penis enlargement surgery at a clinic in Thailand while on vacation with his wife.

An inquest in London heard last month that Igho Ubiribo, 43, died in March after he was injected with 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at the Thai clinic.

The British-Nigerian businessman had been taking a break with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when he chose to undergo the procedure.

After the treatment, Ubiribo, who spent much of his time at a $1.1 million home in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles, went for a massage with Danielle before complaining of chest pain and fainting twice.

Ubiribo, a well-known social media personality with 185,000 Instagram followers, was rushed to hospital by ambulance, where he was still able to respond to questions.

Once he got to the Sukhumvit Hospital in Bangkok, Ubiribo was admitted to the emergency room where he was seen by doctors who recommended a CT scan.

However Ubiribo lost consciousness before the scan could be carried out.

Dr Thongchai Chansirirattingkul, of Sukhumvit Hospital, said: ‘He had had two cases of syncope (fainting) earlier, when he was having a massage.

‘He had had 40 milliliters of penile filler injections earlier that day.’

Assistant coroner Jean Harkin said: ‘Igho Ubiribo was having a massage with his wife when he started to complain of chest pain.

‘When he was in the ambulance he was able to answer questions normally. His wife was able to confirm that he had passed out two times.

‘When he got to the hospital, his wife confirmed that he had filler injections in the penis.’

She added: ‘The cardiologist talked about his clinical condition, prognosis and interventions.

‘He was sent to the intensive care unit.’

His wife had told doctors at the hospital about her husband’s penile procedure.

They confirmed he was suffering from a pulmonary embolism – when a clot blocks a blood vessel in the lungs.

Although medics tried to resuscitate him, he died in the early hours of March 6 after more than 100 minutes of CPR.

His London-based primary care doctor confirmed that Ubiribo had an operation on his joints, was pre-diabetic and suffered from gout but had no other medical issues.

Meanwhile, pathologist John du Parcq carried out a postmortem in the UK and also found Ubiribo had suffered a pulmonary embolism.

In his report, Dr du Parcq said: ‘Cellular material found in Mr Ubiribo’s lungs matched the hyaluronic acid used in his penis filler jab, in keeping with a pulmonary embolism.

‘This matches the Thai autopsy.’

The couple had been staying at the Marriott Hotel in the Thai capital, an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court heard.

The clinic where the procedure was carried out was not named.

Besides his Los Angeles home, Ubiribo owned a $600,000 flat in Shepherds Bush, West London, with his Anglo-Zimbabwean socialite and fashion designer wife.

The couple got married in 2022 in Harare, Zimbabwe, in a $473,000 ceremony described as ‘lavish’ by Zimbabwean media.

Ubiribo – whose nicknames were ‘Tiny and ‘Ego’ – was laid to rest in London in May in a gold coffin which reportedly cost more than $675,000.

Mourners at his funeral included his childhood friend and Nigerian afrobeat star Davido as well as celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest and Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.

Speaking at the funeral in Kensington, Davido said: ‘I won’t lie, it is not easy when someone like Tiny leaves. His absence is heavy; it doesn’t feel real.

‘A man of so much energy, so much presence. The silence is heavy. He is not someone I ever thought I would be speaking about in the past tense.’

The pair’s social media showed a luxury lifestyle, with the couple pictured skiing in designer gear and posing with Rolls-Royces and yachts,

Although it is not known how many men have penis fillers every year, reports suggest that it is a growing number.

Hyaluronic acid is injected into the penis before being massaged to spread it out, which the patient should then continue to do at home.

The resultant increase in penis width lasts for between six and nine months.

The procedure – which costs up to $9,000, has been criticized by medical professionals, with the British Association of Urological Surgeons issuing warnings against it.

Professor Vaibhav Modgil, an NHS andrologist and consultant urological surgeon from Manchester, said he had seen men come to hospital with their skin sloughing off.

He said: ‘It can be devastating for the patient.’

Professor Modgil added: ‘Men will go in thinking, ‘Oh, it’s gonna be brilliant’, but they might come out actually being even more dissatisfied than when they went in.’

In 2017, a Swedish man died when he had fat transferred into his penis – only to suffer an embolism caused by it migrating into his bloodstream.

And 65-year-old billionaire Ehud Arye Laniado suffered a fatal heart attack during a private penis enlargement injection treatment at an aesthetic clinic in Paris in 2019.

Coroner Jean Harkin recorded a narrative conclusion on Ubiribo’s death.

She said: ‘Igho Ubiribo, a businessman, died as the result of a cosmetic procedure abroad.

‘His death was caused by a pulmonary embolism as the result of an injection of hyaluronic acid into the penis.’

She added: ‘My sincerest condolences go out to Ms Allen.’

This was supposed to be remembered as Pete Crow-Armstrong’s arrival, the season Cam Schlittler carved out a reputation as a true ace, and the 2026 campaign in which the White Sox finally climbed out of baseball’s basement.

Instead, the lasting headline will be something far less celebratory: a year defined by disappointment, and not just from one underachieving club.

A Florida woman has been jailed on an attempted murder charge after authorities said she drugged a man she met through a dating app.

Samantha Adams, 39, had been seeing the 69-year-old victim for two to three months in what Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described as a relationship centered on “paid sex” after the pair connected online.

Investigators said Adams introduced herself to the man as “Nala.”

Judd said Polk County deputies have referred to her as the “Black Widow.”

“She tried to kill him,” Judd said in a video posted to social media. “She tried to overdose him. She tried to extort him.”

On Aug. 17, Adams and the victim were in an argument about a vehicle he’d bought for her, court records show. When he told her he wanted it back because he couldn’t afford it, she said they could discuss it at his house, according to records.

When at the victim’s home, Adams gave him a shot glass filled with “suspected whiskey,” court records show.

“She slipped him benzodiazepine,” Judd said.

After he drank the beverage, the two “engaged in physical affection,” court records show. When the victim “attempted to touch the defendant in a sexual manner,” Adams demanded $1,000, according to court records. When he told her he didn’t have the money, she got dressed and left the home.

Not long after, the victim was asked to pick up his granddaughter from a Wawa gas station near a movie theater where he’d dropped her off with her boyfriend earlier that day.

On his way to the Wawa, he began feeling ill, court records show.

Later, he could only recall being pulled from the driver’s seat by his granddaughter and being moved to the back seat of the vehicle, Adams’ arrest warrant shows.

The granddaughter drove her unconscious grandfather home. When he was still unconscious later in the evening, she called 911.

At the hospital, the victim was given Narcan for a suspected opioid overdose, records show.

A urine analysis and other testing showed he had benzodiazepine poisoning, metabolic encephalopathy, dehydration, and acute kidney injury, investigators reported.

Benzodiazepines are depressants that cause sedation and hypnosis, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Overdosing on the drug can cause extreme drowsiness, confusion, impaired coordination, decreased reflexes, respiratory depression, coma and possible death.

The victim told investigators that he doesn’t drink often.

The last time he drank and consumed “exponentially higher” amounts of alcohol was on the Fourth of July, when he had three Long Island Teas and three beers, he said.

And he was never drowsy and disoriented like he was when he drank with Adams, he told investigators. It wasn’t the first time the victim had become drowsy after meeting with Adams, he said.

Earlier in August, the victim fell asleep behind the wheel after leaving Adams’ home. He was awakened by an Osceola County Sheriff’s deputy after he accidentally reversed his truck into the deputy’s agency vehicle.

“There’s lots of investigations still to go,” Judd said. “That’s underway.”

The victim’s normal medications do not include benzodiazepines, investigators found.

He also was assessed for mental acuity and wasn’t found to be in a forgetful state of mind or a state in which he would intentionally take the drugs to hurt himself. And he wasn’t found to have a previous history of opioid use.

Ten days after the incident, Adams was arrested outside of a Dick’s Sporting Goods in Polk County on Aug. 27.

In addition to attempted murder, she’s been charged with resisting an officer without violence, offering prostitution, tampering with physical evidence and five different drug-related charges.

When searching Adams’ vehicle, authorities found prescription medication including: 19 pills of hydrocodone/acetaminophen, 2 1⁄2 pills of oxycodone hydrochloride, nine Zoloft pills, a partial Adderall pill and a partial Xanax pill.

Adams was previously involved in a Lake County investigation in which a woman named “Nala” was approaching an elderly man “with the intent to obtain goods and money from the gentleman,” court records show.

Polk County jail records show Adams was still in custody without bond as of Sept. 2. Her attorney did not respond to a request for comment before publication.

Two alleged grave-site thieves have been taken into custody after authorities say they stole valuables worth more than $20,000 from memorial spaces across several states.

Drake Milam, 33, and Angela Garrett, 52, the mother of Milam’s girlfriend, are accused of removing prized belongings from cemetery niches — the small compartments where cremation urns and personal keepsakes are often placed.

Court records show Milam’s girlfriend, Porsche Bancroft, 32, has also been charged with conspiracy in connection with the alleged scheme. All three defendants have entered not guilty pleas.

Investigators allege Milam and Garrett targeted memorial sites in a wide-ranging theft spree spanning Florida, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Iowa, New York and New Jersey.

In Florida alone, police believe the suspects may be tied to 20 separate incidents, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told the Daily Mail. Authorities said the reported thefts included cases in Orange, Seminole and Hillsborough counties, as well as the City of Winter Park.

Surveillance footage showed a man believed to be Milam and a woman inside a building that holds niches. The man appeared to use a tool to gain access to the glass enclosures and even looked directly at the camera during the audacious move. 

Milam allegedly stole from at least nine niches at Woodlawn Funeral Home in March 2026, the arrest affidavit said, allegedly stealing $25,000 worth of jewelry. 

In April, Milam entered the Queen of Angels Cemetery in Winter Park wearing a medical mask in an attempt to shield his identity, the affidavit said. He is accused of opening six niches while Garrett allegedly kept lookout. He allegedly stole items worth more than a total of $10,500. 

The same day, he entered another cemetery in Winter Park, where he allegedly stole jewelry worth $2,000 from a single niche, the affidavit said.  

Florida police reports showed that a man had told authorities that he and his wife’s wedding rings and her class ring were stolen from her spot, according to Fox News. Another woman reported that a ring she bought her husband for his 25th work anniversary at Disney was missing, the outlet reported.

The wife of Charles Taaffe, a former football coach at the University of Central Florida, said two of his gold championships rings were taken from his niche, Fox said. 

Several other families also reported missing jewelry. 

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the trio on May 7 after multiple thefts were reported at Queen of Angels Cemetery. They then discovered other departments, like Orange and Hillsborough, were also investigating similar incidents.  

The value of the Florida items was more than $35,000, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

‘The dollar amount is not what’s important,’ a sheriff’s office spokesperson told the Daily Mail. 

‘Having a loved one’s final resting place disturbed and cherished family heirlooms taken is deeply painful.’ 

The trio allegedly used a rental car to get around Florida, which was later repossessed outside of Bancroft’s home in late May, the affidavit said. Bancroft allegedly rented the car from Hertz at the Indianapolis International Airport. 

On April 20, Garrett was stopped by an Indiana State trooper during a traffic stop, where the officer identified her as the person in the bulletin from the surveillance footage at the Queen of Angels Cemetery, the affidavit said. Garrett was allegedly wearing the same shirt. 

Garrett’s fingerprints were also allegedly picked up at a funeral home in Brandon, Florida, in May, where $800 worth of jewelry was stolen from niches, according to the affidavit. 

Milam’s fingerprints were later identified at the Queen of Angels cemetery, the affidavit said.  

Milam and Garrett were arrested in Indiana and booked into the Seminole County Jail on August 31. 

Bancroft turned herself in to the Seminole County Jail on August 17, court records showed. She bailed out a day later. 

‘We recognize that no arrest can undo what these families have experienced,’ the sheriff’s office told the Daily Mail. 

‘If you have a loved one resting at a cemetery, we encourage you to check their resting place and make sure any cherished items placed with them are still there.’ 

Milam faces six felony charges and is being held without bond. 

He faces conspiracy to commit dealing in stolen property, conspiracy to commit grand theft, dealing in stolen property, dealing in stolen property organizing, grand theft over $20,000, and injuring or removing a tomb or monument disturbing the contents of a grave or tomb. 

Garrett also faces six felonies and is being held on a $65,000 bond. 

She faces conspiracy to commit dealing in stolen property, conspiracy to commit grand theft, dealing in stolen property, dealing in stolen property organizing, grand theft over $20,000, and injuring or removing a tomb or monument disturbing. 

Both are expected in court on October 23.  

Bancroft has been charged with conspiracy to commit dealing in stolen property and conspiracy to commit dealing grand theft. 

She is expected in court on September 22.
