Donald Trump vowed during a Monday night rally in Kansas that the United States would not descend into the kind of unrest seen in France amid weeks of mass demonstrations.

Pointing to photographs and videos depicting extensive damage in Paris, Trump condemned the violence and promised to prevent similar scenes while he was in office.

‘Look at what’s happening in France, a once great nation, that is being conquered, looted and burned to the ground by migrants, jihadists and communists who hate Christianity and hate, frankly, the western civilization itself.’

He also accused ‘globalist left-wing politicians’ of bringing in ‘millions and millions of third world migrants who are incompatible with western values.’

‘They’re destroying that country and we’re not gonna let that happen to this country!’

Trump further warned that his proposed ‘Trump Dividend’—a $5,000 payment to every American if Republicans win the midterm elections—could be withheld from anyone who used the money to ‘join the revolution’ in France.

‘We don’t want you saying “let’s go to China and spend the money. Let’s go to Japan. Let’s go to South Korea. Let’s go to some beautiful place like France. Let’s go to France. We can join. We can join the revolution and then come home to sanity.” We don’t want to go to France. I would think that France’s recreation money is not too good. No, but I don’t want you to go to France.’

The protests began about a month earlier with teachers and students demonstrating over staff shortages before expanding into a broader movement focused on rising living costs.

At least four separate protests interrupted the early part of Trump’s speech as he campaigned on behalf of Senator Roger Marshall.

One heckler was escorted from the venue after raising a middle finger toward the pro-MAGA crowd, drawing boos from the audience and jeers from Trump.

Trump said the demonstrators had been paid to protest and suggested their interruptions would become a major focus of news coverage.

Liberal hecklers have confronted the President at nearly every rally he has held during the campaign cycle.

Trump has frequently dismissed them as ‘paid protesters’ or joked that they were ‘going home to mom.’

The President received a lengthy ovation as he took the stage to Lee Greenwood’s ‘God Bless the USA’ before telling the crowd: ‘I love you, Kansas.’

Marshall is facing Democrat Adam Hamilton, with polls indicating a closely contested race just over two weeks before Election Day.

Democrats need to gain four seats to take control of the Senate, where Republicans currently hold a 53-47 majority.

A series of competitive Senate races will prove decisive, with contests in states including Texas, Maine, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas and Alaska being the closest in the country. 

Classic rocker Ted Nugent opened up for Trump, who said politics is a ‘pain in the a**’ but that voting thanks fallen veterans ‘for their sacrifice by voting for the beliefs they died for.’ 

Trump shouted out Marshall, as well as Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri.

The rally comes just hours after it was revealed a 24-year-old Kansas man was charged after allegedly calling for Trump to be shot, according to officials.

Jaden J. Read, from Clearwater, was arrested on Saturday after a tip alerted authorities to a string of disturbing Facebook posts about Trump’s upcoming visit to Wichita on Monday, the Department of Justice said.

Federal prosecutors said the investigation began on October 15 when someone contacted Crime Stoppers about comments that Read left beneath a KAKE News report announcing the president’s October 19 appearance.

In one post, Read allegedly called for someone to shoot Trump, writing, ‘Let’s shoot Trump honestly, where’s our shooter? I’m tired of living this money life.’

He then allegedly followed up in the comments by claiming he had obtained ammunition and threatening to kill the president.

‘I just got a 308 and 305 round and I’m killing this pedo,’ Read wrote.

On October 17, investigators subsequently uncovered further comments Read had made beneath a separate report by KWCH 12 News about Trump’s visit.

Read allegedly wrote that he would shoot the president himself before claiming he knew where Trump would be speaking and had already identified nearby rooftops.

‘Can we shoot him in Kansas please I will myself,’ Read wrote.

One minute later, Read wrote, ‘IK where your speech will be. Already mapped out roofs around. Finna get kirked since yall couldn’t help him.’

The comments prompted a federal investigation, resulting in Read’s arrest in Clearwater on October 17.

He is now being held in federal custody while awaiting a detention hearing.

Read faces a federal charge of threatening the president, which carries a potential prison sentence of up to five years.

Ryan A Kriegshauser, the US attorney for Kansas, said the case served as a warning that political disagreements did not give people the right to make threats of violence.

He stressed that while Americans are entitled to express strong political opinions, that freedom has legal limits.

The investigation is being carried out by the Secret Service, US Marshals Service, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Kansas Highway Patrol and Wichita Police Department. 

A Pennsylvania homeowner is under pressure to remove Halloween decorations showing what appear to be bodies suspended from trees, with critics saying the display resembles lynching victims.

The decorations outside the unidentified resident’s Bristol Borough home include fake bodies wrapped in bags and hanging from a tree, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported.

“I’m looking at it and thinking, ‘Do you not see what’s wrong with this?’” resident Roshea Newkirk said.

The Bucks County NAACP is urging the homeowner to take down the display, arguing that images of bodies hanging from trees carry “painful historical significance” for Black Americans.

“This is not about restricting Halloween celebrations or freedom of expression. It is about historical awareness, empathy, and respect for our neighbors,” the civil rights organization said in a statement posted on Facebook.

The homeowner, who was not identified, told the outlet that he never intended to offend anyone and had purchased the decorations as part of an online display kit.

Some residents, however, said they viewed the setup as a typical Halloween decoration rather than an offensive statement.

“At first, I thought it was a little different,” local resident Mike Wade said. “But then I looked at it and thought, it’s Halloween.”

“My house is scary. My house is always scary and decorated that way. Dead bodies, skeletons—it’s Halloween,” Wade told the outlet.

Other residents said the display could bring to mind the racist lynchings that terrorized and claimed the lives of Black Americans throughout the 20th century.

The disagreement over the Halloween decorations eventually became a topic at a Bristol Borough council meeting.

Officials said they contacted the homeowner and asked him to remove the display, but were unable to persuade him.

“He feels they’re Halloween decorations and he won’t take them down. And we don’t have an ordinance against anything like that,” an official said.

According to the outlet, the decorations remained in place as of Saturday.

More than three decades after O.J. Simpson was acquitted in the killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman, newly unsealed court records are offering fresh insight into information authorities received about the murder weapon, which was never recovered. The New York Times reviewed the records.

The documents say Joseph Ippolito, a government informant and Simpson associate, provided authorities with information described as “very helpful” regarding the weapon used in the murders.

However, the records do not disclose what Ippolito told investigators about the weapon or how it may have been disposed of.

The newly released document indicates that Ippolito had access to information relevant to the case. That included allegations involving Simpson’s domestic violence, drug use, an attempted escape from authorities and the disposal of the murder weapon.

Ippolito, who died roughly 20 years ago, had connections to organized crime and worked as a drug runner and restaurant manager, according to the report.

His brother, Sam Ippolito, told The New York Times that he remembered Joseph saying he had helped Simpson on the night Nicole Brown Simpson and Goldman were stabbed to death.

Sam Ippolito said he saw his brother with what appeared to be blood on his hands and carrying a bag, according to The Times. He said Joseph placed his own clothes inside the bag and asked him to get rid of it.

But in a later interview with ABC News, Sam Ippolito denied making those comments to The Times and maintained that his brother had no involvement in the killings.

“I said he could be involved in a lot of things but not that,” he told ABC News.

Prosecutors dismissed the possibility that Simpson had an accomplice.

Simpson later wrote in his controversial book, “If I Did It,” that another person had been present that night. In a subsequent interview with Fox, he also described a hypothetical scenario involving a person he called “Charlie” and a knife. No murder weapon was introduced during Simpson’s criminal trial. Then-Los Angeles County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran testified about the type of knife that could have caused the fatal injuries.

“These wounds are complex; it could be a single-edged knife, and you cannot exclude a double-edged knife,” Sathyavagiswaran testified.

Simpson was acquitted in 1995 in the deaths of Brown Simpson and Goldman. A civil jury later found him liable for their wrongful deaths.

Denise Brown, Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister, said she heard Ippolito’s name and the account involving him about 30 years ago. She said she has no interest in revisiting his possible role in her sister’s death.

A Kansas man allegedly threatened to shoot President Donald Trump and claimed he had already surveyed rooftops near the site of the president’s planned speech, prompting a federal investigation that led to his arrest before Trump’s visit.

Jaden J. Read, 24, of Clearwater, was charged Saturday with threatening the president, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas said. Authorities arrested him the same day, two days before Trump was scheduled to appear in Wichita on Monday.

Prosecutors said the investigation began Oct. 15, after a Crime Stoppers tip alerted authorities to comments posted beneath a KAKE News Facebook article about Trump’s trip.

“Let’s shoot Trump honestly, where’s our shooter? I’m tired of living this money life,” Read allegedly wrote.

According to prosecutors, Read followed that post with another comment claiming he had ammunition and threatening to kill the president.

Investigators later uncovered more alleged threats in the comments section of a separate KWCH 12 News Facebook article about Trump’s visit.

“Can we shoot him in Kansas please I will myself,” Read allegedly posted.

A minute later, prosecutors said, Read claimed he knew where Trump would deliver his speech and had studied the surrounding rooftops.

“IK where your speech will be. Already mapped out roofs around. Finna get kirked since yall couldn’t help him,” the comment read, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Read was arrested in Clearwater and taken into federal custody. Prosecutors said he would remain detained while awaiting a detention hearing.

“Political violence and threats of political violence will not be tolerated,” U.S. Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser said in a statement Monday.

“The First Amendment allows for robust disagreement, but there are constraints. I caution people to stay within the bounds of constitutionally protected speech.”

The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly considering a blockbuster move to bring franchise legend Peyton Manning into their front office after dismissing general manager Chris Ballard.

Ballard was fired just one day after the Colts’ dismal defeat by the Tennessee Titans. He and head coach Shane Steichen were already under significant pressure heading into the 2026 season following last year’s collapse, when seven consecutive defeats ended Indianapolis’ playoff hopes.

Sunday’s loss to the Titans dropped the Colts to 2-4. Frustration boiled over at Lucas Oil Stadium, with fans booing and chanting, ‘Fire Ballard.’

Later on Monday, reports on ‘The Dan Patrick Show’ claimed the Colts will try to lure its legendary former quarterback Manning back to Indianapolis.

‘The Colts’ first call will be/has been Peyton Manning,’ Patrick claimed. ‘The call will not only get names and suggestions, but the call will explore whether or not Peyton would be interested in being a general manager for the Colts as the entry point that would include ownership interest in the Colts.

‘This would be the first major hire by [late owner] Jim Irsay’s [daughters], the next generation. The community would love this. The league would love this.’

Manning, 50, played more than a decade in Indianapolis and guided the Colts to Super Bowl success in 2006.

Since retiring in 2016, the five-time MVP has launched his own media company, Omaha Productions. He also appears alongside his brother Eli on ‘ManningCast,’ the alternative broadcast of Monday Night Football.

Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon warned Ballard and Steichen during the offseason that results would need to improve quickly if they were to remain in their positions.

In a statement released Monday, she said: ‘I am grateful to Chris for his years of service to the Colts and for everything he poured into this organization. He cared deeply about our team and our community, and we wish Chris and his family all the best.

‘As I said at the start of the season, the sense of urgency has never been higher. Our standard is to compete for championships, and I believe a change in leadership is necessary to meet that standard.

‘I also want to be clear: This decision does not change our goals for the season. We have a lot of football in front of us, and I expect us to compete, improve, and win football games.’

Ballard was in his 10th season as Indianapolis’ general manager and compiled a 72-82-1 record during his tenure. The Colts won only one playoff game, in 2018, and have missed the postseason in each of the last five seasons. Their 2-4 start leaves them facing another difficult challenge to qualify this year.

Indy became the first team since the 1995 Oakland Raiders and just the sixth since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to start 8-2 and not make the postseason last year.

That prompted calls from furious fans for Irsay-Gordon, who took over day-to-day operations from her late father, Jim, to fire both Ballard and Steichen.

‘We have been very clear with Chris and Shane that giving them another opportunity means that the sense of urgency for them to deliver and perform has never been higher,’ Irsay-Gordon said back in January.

‘Chris and Shane are both capable of facing this challenge head on and finding a way to achieve the results our fans deserve, which is winning games, getting to the postseason and ultimately winning championships.’

Ballard doubled down on his existing Colts offense in the summer. He signed quarterback Daniel Jones to a two-year deal worth $88 million, wide receiver Alec Pierce to a four-year, $116 million deal and star running back Jonathan Taylor to a two-year, $44 million extension.

WASHINGTON — Ric Grenell, the embattled former executive director of the Kennedy Center, allegedly offered Turkish billionaire Turhan Mildon access to President Trump while soliciting an alleged $5.6 million contribution to the performing arts institution—money that was never deposited.

The White House counsel’s office has been examining whether Grenell failed to deliver the funds to the Kennedy Center. The inquiry intensified after Mildon’s new wife, Alina Habba, told Trump directly during an Oct. 9 Oval Office meeting that her husband had been misled into providing the money.

“Once the money comes to the company here, I will arrange the donation to Kennedy Centre [sic], and you’ll be joining the VIP events and get close with the administration, even with POTUS,” Grenell allegedly wrote in a May 3, 2025, text message first reported by Axios.

The proposed $5.6 million donation was reportedly supposed to come from a larger $17.6 million wire transfer that Mildon sent to the defense software company Texas Armament & Technology.

Grenell, a former US ambassador to Germany and former acting director of national intelligence under Trump, reportedly denied writing the message. He cited the use of British English in the spelling of “Centre.” Grenell did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Still, a Post source said Axios’ account of the text was consistent with information the source had received about the unusual scandal.

Mildon has given the White House financial records showing a May 29, 2025, transfer of $17.6 million to the Texas company. Axios, however, reported that the funds did not come from Mildon, but from the Democratic Republic of Congo’s “Ministère des Finances.” 

Axios and The New York Times reported Monday that the transaction was tied to a business venture involving the Central African nation, although neither publication detailed the project. In 2024, Mildon said he operated limestone quarries as well as copper, cobalt and gold mines in the country.

Mildon and Habba reportedly met early this year at the Kennedy Center, which Trump has pursued plans to rebrand with his own name. The couple married on Sept. 26.

Habba previously served as Trump’s personal attorney and later worked briefly at the White House before becoming acting US attorney in New Jersey.

Grenell and Mildon also reportedly dealt with one another on matters involving Venezuela. At the time, Grenell was serving as a Trump envoy to then-President Nicolás Maduro, while Mildon operated state-owned cement plants in the South American country.

Following Maduro’s capture by US troops on Jan. 3, interim President Delcy Rodríguez canceled Mildon’s contract to operate the plants in June. The New York Times reported last week that Rodríguez paused the termination after learning about Mildon’s relationship with Habba.

Newly released dispatch audio captures the frantic response after a driver allegedly struck children and spectators at a Kansas youth soccer complex Saturday.

Dispatchers classified the crash at Wichita’s Stryker Sports Complex as an “MCI,” or mass-casualty incident, as emergency crews raced to the scene.

Cole Adrian, 6, and Nicholas Schafer, 35, both of McPherson, were killed in the incident.

At least 10 other people, including five children, were injured, according to authorities.

Police said the 34-year-old woman driving the pickup was released without charges.

Why was the driver released?

Authorities have not said whether criminal charges will be filed against the driver, who was taken into custody after the crash.

Police said Sunday that she was released while investigators await toxicology results and complete an examination of her Chevrolet pickup.

Two of her children were riding inside the truck. Another child was playing soccer on a separate field at the complex.

Investigators questioned the driver and more than 30 witnesses, including the two children who were in the vehicle. Police consulted the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office before deciding to release her.

On Monday, the City of Wichita confirmed that its public works division “will be installing temporary barriers at key locations around the Stryker Sports Complex until more permanent solutions can be implemented.”

The city said it will also review security measures at the complex. Police are expected to “be present at the facility” this coming weekend, joined by local mental health professionals supporting families affected by the tragedy.

McPherson Mayor Jim Loving addressed the community in a statement:

“There is nothing I can say that makes that right. To the families who lost someone: this whole town is grieving with you, and we will stand with you for as long as it takes. To the injured and their families: we are praying for your recovery. Thank you to the bystanders who stepped in before the first ambulance arrived, and to the first responders in Wichita and here at home.”

Wichita Police said in a statement to News Media that the case remains under investigation. “This is an active and ongoing investigation, and I would refer you to our media release. When we have any new updates to share, we will provide them,” the department said.
