Holdout Juror in Lindsay Clancy Case Calls Killing of Her 3 Children an Execution

0

Michael Desronvil, the lone juror who declined to acquit Lindsay Clancy in the deaths of her three children, has spoken publicly for the first time since the trial ended, saying he viewed the mother’s actions as “methodical” in carrying out the killings.

Desronvil, 48, stood by his guilty vote, explaining that his decision was shaped by what he described as the deliberate nature of Clancy’s actions.

“From watching the video and listening in the courtroom, the thought process that goes behind – and to fulfill the commitment of doing that – I thought it was logical,” Desronvil told Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday.

The disagreement left the jury deadlocked after seven days of deliberations, resulting in a mistrial in September.

Clancy acknowledged killing her three young children in January 2023, saying she strangled them with exercise bands.

She pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, arguing that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time.

Eleven jurors concluded that Clancy was not criminally responsible. Desronvil was the only member of the panel to reach a different decision.

Desronvil said his position created “tense” exchanges during the weeklong deliberations. The remainder of his interview is scheduled to air Thursday.

He said he had “a lot of evidence to back up [his] claim,” but chose not to reveal details, citing respect for the other jurors and the court system.

Clancy's trial ended in a mistrial over a hung jury last month. Desronvil, 48, was the sole juror who did not acquit the mother-of-three

Lindsay Clancy’s trial ended in a mistrial after the jury became deadlocked. Desronvil, 48, was the sole juror who did not vote to acquit the mother of three.

During his first television interview since the Lindsay Clancy case, Desronvil was asked whether the evidence had left him with reasonable doubt.

His response to McEnany was direct: “No.”

Several of Desronvil’s former fellow jurors later criticized him for refusing to vote for Clancy’s acquittal.

Some jurors said Desronvil had acknowledged having reasonable doubt about Clancy’s guilt, despite ultimately voting against acquittal.

The allegation prompted Clancy’s defense team to make a last-minute effort to remove him from the jury, accusing him of “refusing to follow court rules.”

Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, told Fox News in September that his client had “zero doubt” about his position regarding reasonable doubt.

Paltzik also said then that Desronvil had a ‘mountain of evidence’ to defend his position.

A Massachusetts judge rejected the request to declare Clancy not guilty of her kids’ murder and asked her lawyers to be ready to discuss a retrial at a hearing scheduled for November 2

On October 1, Judge William Sullivan rejected a request by Clancy’s lawyers to declare her not guilty of murder.

Her legal team argued that prosecutors had not proven that she was criminally responsible for the deaths of five–year–old Cora, three–year–old Dawson and eight–month–old Callan.

Sullivan said prosecutors had presented enough evidence for jury to find Clancy criminally responsible of strangling her children to death.

The judge said both parties should be ready to discuss a retrial at a hearing held on November 2.

Desronvil released a statement on Clancy’s case the same day that she returned to court, urging the public to focus on the ‘three angels’ that she killed instead of the media coverage of her trial.

‘I know the whole focus has been on me but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels, the ones that cannot speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that cannot fight the battles. And those are Cora, Dawson and Callan,’ Desronvil said.

He proceeded to ‘thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter,’ and share his gratitude for those that have supported him.

‘Your prayers, your emotional support, your psychological support, is tremendous to my heart that I feel, that I sense, that I know,’ Desronvil said. ‘I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.’

Clancy would have been committed to a state psychiatric hospital for evaluation if found not guilty by reason of insanity.

She would have her commitment regularly reviewed by the court.

Dad outraged as alleged bully faces no charges after son’s suicide

A Los Angeles father has condemned what he believes was the failure to protect his 17-year-old son, who died after falling from the fourth floor of his high school following an alleged bullying incident.

William Amaya, 40, said he was devastated after his son, Xavier Nungaray-Martinez, died shortly after allegedly being attacked by another student.

Despite video appearing to show the assault in the moments before Xavier’s death, no charges have been filed against the student accused of bullying him.

“He should be held accountable for what he did,” Amaya told the California Post.

The grieving father protested outside Benjamin Franklin High School on Tuesday, calling for stronger security and a greater law enforcement presence on campus.

“Bullying was a factor. I don’t think no one in their right mind would jump off the fourth floor,” Amaya told the outlet. “This would have been prevented if enforcement was on campus.”

Amaya told the Post that neither the school nor the Los Angeles Police Department contacted him or his family.

Video reportedly shows Xavier being punched repeatedly and taunted inside a classroom as a teacher tried to separate the students. Xavier then ran from the room.

But even after video showed Xavier's final moments, no charges have been filed against the alleged bully. The grief-stricken father was seen protesting outside of Benjamin Franklin High School, where his son attended, on Tuesday calling for increased law enforcement

Moments later, on September 30, Xavier went over the railing from the school’s fourth floor.

“Xavier was brutally assaulted during class time by another student, and was denied the timely support of security intervention,” a petition seeking stronger school security said.

“What’s even more heart-wrenching is that instead of receiving help, the assault was recorded by students present at the location. This tragic sequence of events further spiraled as he fell from the fourth floor of his high school, and yet again, instead of aid, there was documentation of his fall.

“This speaks volumes about the lack of security, supervision, and immediate response strategies in our schools – gaps that must be addressed to prevent further tragedies.”

Xavier suffered multiple fatal blunt traumatic injuries to his head and torso, the Post reported.

A Los Angeles Unified School District spokesperson told the outlet: “Our hearts are with family, friends, and the Franklin High School community as they grieve this loss.”

“However, we are unable to comment about individual circumstances due to confidentiality and privacy laws.”

The LAPD said that, during its investigation, detectives believed bullying may not have been a factor in the teenager’s death.

Xavier’s mother, Lilia Nungaray, said her son “was a beautiful, caring, and loving boy who meant so much to the people around him”

‘At this preliminary stage of the investigation, detectives have not identified evidence establishing a connection between allegations of bullying and the student’s death,’ the department said.

But Amaya was certain that his son was ‘not suicidal’ and was excited for his future.

‘He was looking forward to start working, he had plans,’ the grieving father told the outlet.

The petition further accused the schools, ‘where students like Xavier go for safety, education, and growth,’ have transformed into places of suffering, ‘both physically and emotionally.’

‘It is evident that schools in LAUSD are not equipped with the necessary resources and systems to ensure the safety of all students under their care,’ the petition, which has garnered over 740 signatures as of Wednesday evening, continued.

The call for increased security and law enforcement presence comes after the LAUSD school board voted to remove police officers from school campuses, instead hiring ‘school climate coaches,’ in February 2021.

‘Right now it’s not just bring back the police, it’s bring back the police and have them be on campus every time our kids are on campus right now,’ Stephanie Amaya, 37, Xavier’s aunt, told The Post.

‘We need every single school and every single kid to have a chance and feel protected. We need accountability, we need extra police, we need protection for our kids in school.’

Xavier’s mother, Lilia Nungaray, said her son ‘was a beautiful, caring, and loving boy who meant so much to the people around him.’

‘His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him,’ she said on a GoFundMe to help lay her son to rest.

The Daily Mail reached out to LAUSD and the LAPD for comment.

Man Accused of NYC Synagogue Disruption Arrested for Fare Evasion

A Philadelphia man accused of entering a Midtown synagogue while shouting “Allahu Akbar” last year was arrested Wednesday after police allegedly caught him attempting to evade a subway fare, according to law enforcement sources.

Shear Nobles, 48, allegedly walked into Shuva Israel on East 58th Street during an evening service on July 21, 2025. Police said he began recording without permission and made the disturbing declaration.

Authorities said Nobles had no connection to the synagogue and remained in the main prayer area during what they described as an anti-Semitic incident.

He reportedly fled on foot and remained at large for more than a year. His case resurfaced when officers with a sharp eye allegedly spotted him trying to enter the subway without paying at Fulton Street in Lower Manhattan, sources said.

Police stopped Nobles as he was allegedly ducking beneath a turnstile, according to the sources.

He was charged with aggravated harassment and disrupting a religious service, police said.

Nobles had no prior arrests in New York City, but sources said his record in Philadelphia includes arrests for robbery, burglary and retail-related offenses dating back roughly two decades.

Dolly Parton’s 11 Heartbreaking Words About Carl Dean Before His Death

Carl Dean died one year before Dolly Parton, but the country music icon never seriously considered sharing her life with anyone else. In a conversation held about a year after her husband’s death, Parton offered 11 heartfelt words that made clear Dean remained the only man she would ever love in that way.

“I think Carl Dean’s waiting for me on the other side,” Parton said during an onstage conversation at Dollywood’s 2026 season-opening event, according to WBIR Channel 10. She had been joking about dating rumors when her tone briefly turned emotional. Parton then returned to her trademark humor, imagining how Dean might react if she arrived in heaven with a new partner. “If I should show up at the pearly gates with somebody else, he would not like that. He’d be saying, ‘Who’s that little pi***r?’” she joked, prompting loud laughter from the crowd.

Parton’s comments echoed the devotion she had expressed throughout her marriage, including when she addressed long-running speculation that the couple had an “open” relationship. In a 2014 interview with the Irish Mirror, she clarified that their relationship was open “but NOT sexually,” adding that she and Dean loved each other deeply. When imagining a potential love triangle at heaven’s gates, however, Parton kept the scenario playful rather than violent. She suggested Dean might tell her to leave the new man outside and enter heaven with him.

One of Dolly Parton’s friends noticed a major change after Carl Dean died

Although Dean largely avoided the spotlight and rarely appeared with Parton at public events, she spoke and wrote openly about their relationship. Long before either of them died, Parton had even described her fear of being separated from him. In her book “Dolly: My Life and Other Unfinished Business,” she wrote, “My prayer is that we will die at the same time. … We’d sure lose a lot if we lost each other.”

One person who believed Parton may have passed away in part because of a broken heart was her friend, singer Margo O’Donnell. In an interview with RTE Radio 1, O’Donnell mentioned that Dean had had memory troubles leading up to his death at the age of 82, which had taken a major toll on the singer. Specifically, O’Donnell explained that Dean had always known who Parton was, though shortly before he died, he lost memory of her as well. “That broke her. And she hasn’t really done very well since Carl passed away,” O’Donnell said. The Irish country star reiterated that in an interview with Highland Radio as well, telling the host, “Since Carl passed away — and Stella, her sister, said this to me — she hasn’t just been the Dolly, the jovial Dolly.”

Parton and Dean remained devoted partners to the end, and they now share a final resting place in Nashville, Tennessee. Their deaths marked a painful loss for family, friends and generations of fans, but the couple’s enduring love story continues to resonate. If Parton’s own words are any indication, she fully expects Dean to be waiting when they meet again.

Woman Found Floating After Going Overboard From Royal Caribbean Ship

A 44-year-old woman who went overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship was rescued after surviving roughly 20 hours in the water while holding onto a lifebuoy, according to the Hellenic Coast Guard.

The Salvadoran national was aboard the Odyssey of the Seas on Saturday as the ship traveled through the Ionian Sea near Greece’s Zakynthos island, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs told USA Today.

The search took a fortunate turn when the cargo vessel MSC Rossella III spotted the woman inside a bright orange lifebuoy in the dark sea. After notifying authorities, the ship stood by until a Greek Coast Guard crew arrived, lowered ropes and pulled her from the water.

The woman reportedly told officials that she jumped from the ship because she “wanted to disembark,” a Coast Guard spokesperson told Agence France-Presse. The spokesperson added that she had spent “20 hours at sea.”

After the rescue, authorities took her to the port of Katakolo before transporting her to a nearby hospital. The Hellenic Coast Guard said a prosecutor subsequently ordered a psychiatric evaluation.

News Media contacted Royal Caribbean for comment.

The rescue comes after a similar incident last year involving a man who jumped from Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He reportedly made the leap in an effort to avoid nearly $17,000 in gambling debt.

Hilary Swank, 52, Expecting Third Child With Husband Philip Schneider

Hilary Swank is expecting another baby, adding a third child to her growing family.

Three years after welcoming twins—son Ohm and daughter Aya—with her husband, Philip Schneider, the Oscar-winning actress announced that she is pregnant again. The couple’s third child is expected to arrive at the end of the year.

“A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next,” Swank wrote in an Oct. 14 Instagram post. “This one releases in December.”

However, the 52-year-old actress did not make the announcement with a typical sonogram photo or a simple image of her baby bump.

Instead, Swank posted a playful video showing her soon-to-be family of five dancing together in glowing stick-figure costumes.

Set to Bachman–Turner Overdrive’s “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” the clip shows the Ordinary Angels star, her husband and their children dancing in rainbow-colored outfits. Swank then revealed a light-up stick figure drawn across her growing baby bump.

Karoline Leavitt Defends Leaving Press Secretary Role, Denies Popular Conspiracy Theory

0

Karoline Leavitt has defended her decision to leave her position as White House press secretary ahead of the midterm elections, while rejecting online speculation about the real reason for her departure.

The 29-year-old addressed the issue on Instagram, using her personable influencer style as she invited questions from her 3.1 million followers.

One of the first questions focused on her future career after she officially stepped down in August as President Donald Trump’s spokesperson.

Leavitt said she would be joining Fox News as a television contributor, adding that she planned to continue appearing across the network’s various programs.

She also revealed that she has several other projects underway, but said her main priority is spending time at home. The mother-of-two made the comment alongside a photo of herself cuddling her five-month-old daughter, Viviana.

One follower questioned that explanation, asking why she had left the press secretary role if she still intended to work.

Leavitt responded by contrasting the demands of her former job with her new routine. She said the White House position required more than 60 hours in the office each week, frequent international travel and round-the-clock availability.

“Now I am home with my kids every day and am doing some TV hits,” she wrote. “These things are not the same, ma’am.” Leavitt is also mother to two-year-old Niko, whom she shares with her 61-year-old husband, Nicholas Riccio.

Another follower asked about a social media claim that Trump had failed to warn Leavitt about a supposed threat to Air Force One while she was aboard the presidential aircraft—and whether the alleged incident prompted her resignation.

Leavitt urged people not to accept every claim circulating online, telling them to consult credible news reports instead.

She firmly denied being on the aircraft or even taking part in the trip, saying she had been at home with her children.

Leavitt added that, even if she had been on board, the incident would not have led her to leave the job.

She pointed out that anyone who travels on Air Force One understands the risks associated with accompanying the President.

Leavitt said she had previously traveled with Trump to the Middle East and had addressed wartime issues from the White House briefing room—responsibilities that also carry significant security risks. “Threats come with the job,” she said.

Calling the claim an unfounded online rumor, she insisted there was “zero truth” to the story.

She was then asked about whether Trump had failed to tell her about a 'threat to Air Force One' while she was on board - and whether that was the reason she quit

Leavitt’s departure from the White House briefing podium came before the November midterm elections.

Last week, a fresh Daily Mail/YouGov poll revealed that nearly half of likely voters believe Trump is dragging down his own party.

Forty-nine percent said Trump is hurting Republican candidates, more than double the 20 percent who think he is helping.

The warning is starkest among independents, with 54 percent saying the president is damaging GOP chances.

This was compounded by price hikes across the US economy worsening in September, deepening the threat to Trump and the Congressional Republicans.

It comes as Leavitt’s replacement Katie Zacharia, 41, gave a lackluster performance during her first on-camera press briefing on Tuesday.

Zacharia stumbled over her prepared remarks and stuttered through her own sentences during the address.

At one point she called the president her husband and also blindsided the room by telling the Daily Mail that Trump had asked Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign as ambassador to Greece.

The opening segment of the press briefing is typically followed by a long question-and-answer session, often extending for nearly an hour.

However, Zacharia took just three questions before walking out after 14 minutes.

The new appointee, who is married to Hollywood producer Tyler Zacharia, infamously lasted just six weeks as a Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman earlier this year before abruptly walking out of the job in March.

The mom-of-four has since been working as a communications adviser to Trump Media and Technology Group, the company behind Truth Social.

Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Plastic Surgery Amid Ongoing Cancer Battle

0

Teddi Mellencamp surprised fans by revealing that she recently underwent a cosmetic procedure while continuing her battle with stage four cancer.

The 45-year-old television personality, who was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, opened up about the decision in her Instagram Stories on Monday. Mellencamp shared that she had undergone a blepharoplasty, commonly known as an eyelid lift.

She emphasized that her oncology team had approved the procedure before she moved forward with the surgery.

Mellencamp explained that her phone had been ‘blowing up’ after her surgeon Dr. Sarmela Sunder shared behind-the-scenes footage of the procedure to her own Instagram page this week.

“One thing I can tell you so I don’t have to keep answering it is that, of course, my cancer doctors were fine with it. That’s why I agreed to do it,” Mellencamp explained.

The mother of three added, “I was awake. I get my stitches out Thursday, and I have immunotherapy Wednesday.”

Dr. Sunder shared a video montage showing Mellencamp arriving for her appointment and having the skin around her eyelids examined.

The clip then moved to footage taken after the procedure, when stitches had been placed.

“Although this was a procedure she had wanted for some time, we waited until she received medical clearance from her oncologists,” Sunder wrote in the caption.

Sunder explained that Mellencamp eventually received the “all-clear,” allowing the procedure to be performed under local anesthesia. She praised the reality star for handling the experience “like a true champ,” just as she has approached other challenges in her life.

Supportive fans quickly filled the comments, with one person writing, “Her eyes instantly look even brighter.”

Another commenter called the result “so good,” while Mellencamp’s podcast co-host, Tamra Judge, responded with red heart emojis.

Mellencamp, the daughter of singer John Mellencamp, also posted an update from inside her car. “Under Bleph day with the best doctor out there,” she wrote.

She added, “And yes, I got the OK from my cancer doctors,” while gesturing toward her eyes.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps of Mellencamp for comment.

Back in 2022, the star previously underwent a neck lift and partial lower face lift surgery, which had also been done by Sunder.

On Wednesday, Mellencamp took to her Instagram stories again to take followers along as she got immunotherapy and had scans done.

While waiting for a nurse to pick her up, the star said in a selfie video that she was ‘nervous’ due to not having scans done in four months.

‘So, I’m getting my MRI and my CT scans – or cat scans – I’ll never remember the names, no matter how hard I try.’

Wealthy 37-Year-Old Charged Over Antisemitic Abuse Melts Down in Court

0

A California man accused in an antisemitic hate-crime case became agitated at a New York City courthouse after discovering that the Daily Mail was covering his hearing.

Christopher Husary, 38, is accused of threatening and harassing a Jewish man on the subway in June 2024 by directing antisemitic statements at him.

Several months earlier, Husary allegedly knocked a woman to the ground at a pro-Israel demonstration in California, took her Israeli flag and set it on fire.

He pleaded guilty to robbery with a hate-crime enhancement and was sentenced on October 9, 2024, to 364 days in jail followed by two years of probation.

Public records show that, at the time of the alleged subway incident and the California crime, the then-36-year-old was living with his parents at their $1.8 million home in the Bay Area.

Following his California sentencing, NYPD officers waited outside the courthouse to take Husary to New York. There, he was indicted on charges of attempted coercion as a hate crime and aggravated harassment. He pleaded not guilty and was released under supervision.

Husary appeared in Manhattan criminal court on Wednesday morning. Before the hearing, he approached the Daily Mail in the hallway outside the courtroom, where he used his phone to take photographs and record video.

Asked by the Daily Mail to confirm his identity, Husary denied that he was Christopher Husary. He then became increasingly confrontational and claimed that a Daily Mail photographer had been “compromised” by Israel.

He grew increasingly confrontational and bizarrely claimed that a Daily Mail photographer had been “compromised” by Israel

“America first or Israel first?” Husary repeatedly asked the photographer, who declined to respond to the agitated man.

“See, you can’t even say it,” Husary replied. “You’re compromised.”

The aspiring activist was carrying a backpack with a campaign flyer for Mayor Zohran Mamdani visible in a side pocket. He then said, “Free Palestine and stop killing children,” before entering the wrong courtroom.

He came back several minutes later and entered the correct courtroom when it opened.

About six Jewish New Yorkers also entered the room to observe the hearing. One of them wore a T-shirt reading “Fire Mamdani.”

The hearing was expected to determine whether the case would proceed to trial. However, Judge Julieta Lozano said Husary’s attorney could no longer represent him because of medical reasons.

Lozano postponed the hearing until November 10, allowing Husary’s new attorney, Taylor Koss, time to review the evidence and become familiar with the case.

The Daily Mail has contacted Koss for comment.

Lozano noted that Husary had attended most of his previous hearings virtually from California.

Public records indicate that Husary now lives in a $2,800 per month three-bedroom apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It is unclear whether he works in the city.

According to prosecutors, Husary vandalized a subway car two years ago by drawing an inverted red triangle with a marker on the train door. At the time, he was dressed in a Hezbollah T-shirt and had a scarf wrapped around his face.

The Anti-Defamation League recognizes the upside-down red triangle as a hate symbol that first appeared in Hamas propaganda videos to mark Israeli military targets.

The symbol has since been spray-painted on Jewish homes and institutions, often alongside antisemitic and threatening slogans, according to the organization.

As Husary committed his alleged vandalism, a Jewish lawyer named Joshua Savitt snapped a picture.

Savitt was on his way home from an exhibit memorializing the victims of the October 7 massacre by Hamas, which had been swarmed by pro-Hamas demonstrators.

Husary noticed when Savitt took the photo and immediately approached him, demanding that he delete it, prosecutors said.

When Savitt refused, Husary said, ‘Yo, we got a Zionist over here’ and ‘We’ll find you and there will be consequences,’ according to prosecutors.

When Husary committed his alleged and proven antisemitic crimes, the then 36-year-old wannabe activist was living with his parents at their $1.8 million Bay Area home in California

Husary also allegedly told Savitt, who was wearing a yarmulke, ‘You’re not a real Jew.’

When Husary was indicted in 2024, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said: ‘Christopher Husary tried to force a Jewish man to comply with his demands by spewing antisemitic comments and threats at him.

‘We will continue using all the tools at our disposal to hold those accountable who commit acts driven by hate and discrimination.’
