Tragic Tale Unveiled: Indictment Reveals Harrowing Details of Sibling Assault and Murder

0

Federal authorities revealed on Monday that Anna Kepner’s 16-year-old stepbrother faces adult charges for sexually assaulting and murdering her during a family cruise.

Identified only as T.H., the teenager is accused of strangling his 18-year-old stepsister aboard the Carnival Cruise ship Horizon last November, subsequently concealing her body under the bed in their shared cabin.

Initially charged as a juvenile in February for Kepner’s murder, T.H. has now been indicted as an adult by a federal grand jury on counts of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault, according to the Department of Justice.

The DOJ stated that the accused “sexually assaulted and intentionally killed” Kepner.

Authorities had previously determined that the Florida cheerleader’s cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation.

Kepner’s body was found by a maid who was cleaning the cabin.

If convicted, T.H. faces life in prison.

Kevin McCarthy Speaks Out on Long-Standing Rumors Surrounding Rep. Eric Swalwell

In a surprising turn of events, U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell has put his campaign for California governor on hold. This decision comes in the wake of sexual assault allegations that have intensified scrutiny within the Democratic primary race. Swalwell made the announcement on Sunday, effectively pausing his political ambitions.

Swalwell released a statement where he explained his choice to withdraw from the race, stating his intention to focus on addressing the allegations against him.

“I owe an apology to my family, staff, friends, and supporters for the lapses in judgment I’ve demonstrated in the past. While I am committed to fighting the serious and false accusations presented against me, I recognize that this is a personal battle, not one for my campaign,” he declared.

This suspension has already begun to alter the dynamics of the highly anticipated race, where Swalwell had previously been leading by a narrow margin among Democratic contenders.

Criticism of Swalwell has circulated in Washington for years, according to former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who spoke on ABC’s “This Week.”

“Every member in Congress knows not to let any young staffer around Swalwell or Matt Gaetz, it’s not a secret there,” McCarthy said.

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown said the allegations were not unexpected, citing longstanding talk among Democratic leaders.

“No, I’m not surprised frankly because there have been rumors after rumors after rumors, his colleague in Washington pretty much said that. That’s what Adam Schiff said, that’s what Nancy Pelosi said,” Brown said.

California Rep. Eric Swalwell is denying sexual assault allegations, says he won’t drop out of governor’s race following SF Chronicle’s report.

Brown said Swalwell’s exit leaves the field unsettled, and he has not yet decided who deserves his backing.

“I’m still trying to find somebody who might be able to win and so far I haven’t found them,” Brown said.

Political analysts said the fallout creates uncertainty for voters and party leaders alike.

“But right now, this is a mess. It’s a mess for the Democratic Party, and it’s a mess for California primary voters,” said Daniel Schnur, who teaches political communications at UC Berkeley and the University of Southern California.

Schnur said the two immediate beneficiaries of Swalwell’s decision are Katie Porter and Tom Steyer, though both face obstacles. He said Steyer has drawn criticism for his wealth and investment history, while Porter’s personal style has sparked complaints.

“He’s being attacked for making millions and millions of dollars for investing his money in ways that most Democrats find to be absolutely unacceptable,” Schnur said of Steyer.

“Porter is being criticized for being unpleasant,” he said. “I don’t think most Californians want an unpleasant governor, but of the two, it seems like it might be an obstacle that is more likely to be overcome.”

Brown said former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has the deepest experience in the race, but that has not translated into strong polling. He added that campaign finances may now play an outsized role.

“Money is beginning to mean something in political races and when you can’t raise it, you maybe at a terrible disadvantage,” Brown said. “I think all those democrats are now at a disadvantage because Tom Steyer has more money than sin.”

Swalwell’s suspension leaves Democrats reassessing a race that, until Sunday, appeared to have a clear front-runner, with the primary still months away.

Trump Removes Controversial Jesus Image Following Public Criticism

0

Donald Trump has removed a controversial post comparing himself to Jesus Christ after facing backlash for blasphemy from some of his right-wing followers.

The image, created using artificial intelligence and shared on his Truth Social platform, depicted Trump in a white robe with a red shawl, radiating a divine light from his hands as he appeared to heal a patient in a hospital setting, with a soldier, a nurse, and others observing in reverence.

Released on Sunday evening, the post quickly ignited a storm of criticism from his own supporters by Monday morning.

Former Trump supporter and Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene described the image as ‘beyond blasphemy,’ branding it a representation of an ‘Antichrist spirit.’

Conservative pundit Michael Knowles suggested, “It’s likely someone has already advised him, but it would be wise for the President, both in a spiritual sense and politically, to remove the image, regardless of its intention.”

Right-wing influencer Riley Gaines said: ‘Why? Seriously, I cannot understand why he’d post this. Is he looking for a response? Does he actually think this? Either way, two things are true. 1) a little humility would serve him well 2) God shall not be mocked.’

Trump, a Christian, has previously questioned his own salvation, saying: ‘I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound’ and ‘I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven.’

Trump had attacked Pope Leo XIV, 70, hours earlier, posting: ‘If I wasn’t in the White House , Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican.’

The President’s posts sit awkwardly against the devout Catholic and Christian beliefs of his inner circle, not least Vice President JD Vance.

Bishop Robert Barron, who sits on the Trump administration’s own Religious Liberty Commission, said Trump’s attacks on the Pope were ‘entirely inappropriate and disrespectful’ and called on the President to apologize.

‘I think the President owes the Pope an apology,’ Barron wrote on X, adding that senior Catholics in the administration, including Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, should meet Vatican officials directly rather than trade barbs on social media.

Barron, appointed to the commission by Trump in May alongside Cardinal Timothy Dolan, said he remained ‘very grateful’ for the administration’s outreach to people of faith, but the rebuke from within Trump’s own religious apparatus was unambiguous.

The self-published image comparing himself to Christ proved a bridge too far even for supporters who had cheered his attacks on the Pope.

‘Trumps first post was fine. The Pope has a long documented political record. The follow-up posts? Would not be tolerated for any other religion,’ conservative pundit Mike Cernovich wrote.

OutKick host Jon Root wrote: ‘This is blasphemous.’

‘Trump portraying himself as Jesus Christ, descending from the clouds, healing the sick, with people praying to him, is reprehensible. If only there was a qualified leader of the White House Faith Office, and not a heretic, so this wouldn’t happen or at least would be called out,’ he continued.

The White House did not immediately respond for comment.

The feud with the Pope began after Leo criticized the US offensive against Iran, without naming Trump or Washington directly.

Trump responded with a volley of broadsides against the head of the Catholic Church.

‘Pope Leo is weak on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy,’ Trump posted on social media on Sunday, adding, ‘I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon.’

The Pope responded that he had ‘no fear’ of the Trump administration and will continue to speak out against the war with Iran.

‘I have no fear of the Trump administration, or speaking out loudly of the message of the gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do, what the Church is here to do,’ he told reporters during a flight to Algeria.

‘I don’t want to get into a debate with [Trump],’ he added.

‘Too many people are suffering in the world today. Too many innocent people are being killed. And I think someone has to stand up and say: there’s a better way to do this,’ Leo said.

FBI Raids Texas Home in Connection to Molotov Cocktail Attack on OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s San Francisco Residence

0

The FBI has conducted a search at the Texas residence of a 20-year-old suspect linked to an attempted attack on OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s home in San Francisco last week, according to exclusive information obtained by Fox News.

On Monday morning, Fox News was present as federal agents collected evidence during the execution of a search warrant in Spring, Texas.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Daniel Moreno-Gama, who allegedly traveled from Texas to San Francisco with the intent to harm the OpenAI executive.

Insiders close to the investigation have revealed to Fox News that Moreno-Gama was motivated by his opposition to artificial intelligence. Upon his arrest in San Francisco, he was found carrying a manifesto. This document, reportedly a “three-part series,” included a list of additional AI executives and investors, complete with their names and addresses, sources disclosed.

The FBI agents executed the search warrant at Moreno-Gama’s home, following the Molotov cocktail incident targeting Sam Altman’s residence.

According to San Francisco Police, Moreno-Gama threw a Molotov cocktail at Altman’s house early Friday morning, setting the front gate on fire. No one was hurt.

Police say he then went to OpenAI headquarters, where he was captured on surveillance video throwing a chair at the glass doors. Security told police he said he planned to burn the building down and kill anyone inside.

Moreno-Gama was arrested outside the building  by San Francisco police and has remained in custody. Investigators say he was carrying a jug of kerosene and a lighter.

Sources tell Fox News the Justice Department is expected to file federal charges Monday afternoon for attempted damage and destruction of property by means of explosives and possession of an unregistered firearm.

Moreno-Gama is already charged with multiple state felonies, including attempted murder, in connection to the incident at Altman’s home.

Altman responded to the attack on his blog with a a picture of his family saying, “I love them more than anything,” and, “normally we try to be pretty private, but in this case I am sharing a photo in the hopes that it might dissuade the next person from throwing a Molotov cocktail at our house, no matter what they think about me.”

Over the weekend, two more people were arrested in a separate incident, after reports of gunfire near Altman’s home, according to San Francisco Police.

“The SFPD takes crimes involving guns extremely seriously, and anyone committing acts like these will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Chief Derrick Lew. “I want to thank our officers whose swift actions identified these suspects, took them into custody, and got dangerous weapons off our streets.”

An OpenAI spokesperson told Fox News Digital Monday morning that the incident was unrelated and had no connection to Altman, adding that there was no indication that Altman’s home was being targeted.

Woman Allegedly Threatens Man with Flaming Pillow, Claims She’ll Torch His Home: Police Report

Authorities have charged 59-year-old Lisa Decaprio with arson and harassment following an incident on Neptune Avenue in Seaford, New York. The Nassau County Police Department stated that officers arrived at the scene around 8:14 p.m. on Friday after reports of a heated argument between Decaprio and a 63-year-old man. While the man’s identity and his relationship with Decaprio have not been disclosed, police confirmed that Decaprio allegedly threatened him, vowing to “burn the house down.”

The altercation reportedly grew more volatile when Decaprio began hurling objects at the man. The exact nature of their dispute remains unspecified. However, the situation escalated dramatically when Decaprio is said to have set a pillow ablaze, heightening the threat to set fire to the residence.

Details regarding who contacted emergency services have not been released.

It was not specified who called 911.

Police said the fire was extinguished by the time first responders arrived at the home. The man was unharmed. Decaprio was arrested without incident the same day and taken to a hospital for evaluation before she was brought to jail. She was charged with arson and harassment.

At her arraignment at Nassau County District Court on Saturday, Decaprio was granted $10,000 cash bail, $20,000 secured bond, or $50,000 partially secured surety bond. It was not clear if she was still in custody. She pleaded not guilty to both charges and is due to appear in court again on April 14.

Vigilante Appears in Court Following Forceful Attempt to Prevent Ute Theft

A Queensland tradie who smashed the windows of his own car in a bid to stop thieves from stealing the vehicle has been bailed after spending the weekend in jail.
Asmir Dzambic spent two days locked up on dangerous driving charges after taking the law into his own hands to stop a thief behind the wheel of his car.

In a dramatic turn of events captured on CCTV, Dzambic was seen taking a baseball bat to the windshield of his company ute after thieves made a second attempt following an initial theft. Just days before, these same culprits had stolen car keys from his demolition business.

The court was informed that the initial robbery had resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of dollars worth of tools, alongside keys to other company vehicles. Alarmed by the incident, Dzambic promptly reported it to the authorities. Anticipating that the thieves might strike again, he strategically placed tracking devices in his vehicles.

His foresight proved correct when, two nights later, the criminals returned. This time, Dzambic was ready and waiting for them.

In court, Dzambic’s lawyer expressed visible frustration, arguing that his client wasn’t donning a superhero costume, but hinted that if he had been, he might not be the only one facing legal consequences.

Dzambic’s lawyer was today visibly furious, telling the court his client wasn’t wearing a black bat suit but perhaps if he was, he wouldn’t be the only one behind bars.

The car thief remains on the run.

Unlocking Pep Guardiola’s Genius: How Manchester City Dominates Title Races While Arsenal Crumbles

0

Pep Guardiola downplayed the tactical maneuvers that led to Manchester City’s triumph over Chelsea on Sunday, even as he admitted that City had adjusted their high-press strategy at halftime to corner their unsettled opponents.

In a pivotal moment, Jeremy Doku intercepted Moises Caicedo to score the third goal, strategically closing in from a more central area than usual. This move was clearly part of the game plan, as evidenced by the City coaching staff celebrating together on the sidelines, indicating they were all aligned on the approach.

As is his habit, Guardiola later jokingly called himself a genius, attributing the win and the team’s second-half dominance to their mental strength and resilience.

Nevertheless, Guardiola did highlight the importance of the high press. While the emotional drive played a significant role, the tactical adjustments provided the crucial edge, transforming a two-goal advantage into a three-goal lead. This ensured that any subsequent goals by Chelsea were merely consolation, unable to alter the outcome of the match.

Guardiola’s demeanor captures his essence. He’s aware of his tactical brilliance but often struggles to accept accolades, preferring to respond with sarcasm. This might be because the same critics who praise him now might later critique his strategies following a loss.

Pep Guardiola has always played a cautious game around accepting praise for his tactical genius, but it is the reason why Manchester City are the masters of the title race

Privately, he leans into it, spending hours at the whiteboard. If they win a seventh Premier League title under him – one that looked out of their grasp less than a month ago – then they will have done so with more tactical shifts than ever before. And that is saying something.

‘Throughout the years, you never saw City playing the same way,’ Bernardo Silva said. ‘We always change. That’s because he always thinks that if we don’t change, people will adapt and be able to control the way we play.

‘In terms of offensive concepts, he takes you to another level. He’s different from other managers. He’s obsessed, for good or bad he spends all his days thinking about what he can do to improve.’

This year, City have at times gone more direct in specific moments, ceding possession in a way they never had under Guardiola. They went with a diamond midfield press for a while, again something never trialled before. Two strikers, one striker. Silva and Rodri started play from goal-kicks at Leeds to counter the way Daniel Farke’s team went man-to-man.

Inverted full backs have occasionally made an appearance and the box midfield (two men vertically behind two others) became key when Doku and Savinho were injured, with Oscar Bobb unavailable in the weeks before heading to Fulham. Semenyo was seen as a central striker by suitors Chelsea, before choosing City in January, and Guardiola has utilised the Ghanaian there before reverting to natural width.

And it keeps going: a midfield shape resembling a parallelogram to exploit weaknesses and holes in the opposition. Two blockers in midfield to stop Arsenal playing out in the Carabao Cup final last month, that farcical passage when Kepa Arrizabalaga held onto the ball for what felt like an eternity.

Now here we are, with a fairly standard 4-2-3-1 that often looks suspiciously like a 4-4-2. It happened in the Treble campaign too, with Kevin De Bruyne pushed up alongside Erling Haaland in the way that Cherki is now.

That is just this season. It has been a campaign of experiments – which started at the Club World Cup – and the tactical influence of Pep Lijnders plays its part and so there are more twists than normal, especially with the raft of new signings.

City set up to stop Arsenal playing out from the back at Wembley in last month’s Carabao Cup final – and unless Mikel Arteta finds a new way of playing, Sunday could go the same way

Yet the constant evolution is what sets Guardiola apart. Every year is different, often imparted on the players to think about during pre-season, with many talking about how that keeps their minds fresh.

As we head towards the finish line of a mindboggling tenure at the Etihad Stadium, it is pertinent to highlight the absolute devotion to not standing still, refusing to accept the idea that nobody will figure them out. Almost a paranoia – and half of his ideas will centre on the fear of transitions. The man is without equal.

It is why, in the earlier years, both full backs would come inside, to prevent an overload in the middle of the pitch. They changed to three centre backs in build-up play (Kyle Walker moving inside).

There have been the false nines, somewhat forced upon him by not signing a striker after Sergio Aguero’s persistent injuries and eventual departure.

Even with Aguero, there were changes. ‘Sergio was not the incredible high-press player but he tried his best and all I ask is that,’ Guardiola said at Stamford Bridge when asked about Cherki. ‘Do your best and you can do it because he has another quality.’

City needed to find a way to mitigate that lack of aptitude, reaching 100 points and doing the domestic Treble in the process. One year brought a 4-1-5 formation to counter opponents who were sitting in with a low block.

‘It’s always finding a balance that is not easy because you never know how deep a team is going to defend,’ Silva said. ‘He always tries to think about these things and guess.

‘The way we played against Bournemouth (in November) with our full backs (Matheus Nunes and Nico O’Reilly) being the only ones wide, we started trying that last season. We have a lot of ways we can play and that he created for this team. In a way they all work, depending on our opponents.’

Rayan Cherki has come alive in the second half of the season, and is being utilised in a role similar to that of Kevin De Bruyne in the Treble season

Guardiola is the master of adaptation and tactical shifts to keep his team fresh, something that Mikel Arteta (left) will have to learn to finally get his Arsenal team over the line

That is the criticism Arsenal supporters are levelling at Mikel Arteta during another title run-in that is bringing the worst out of them, with opponents having worked them out in the last few months and able to shut down their build-up play.

Guardiola said at the weekend that he knows Arteta perfectly, and knows there will be adjustments when these two face off in the potential title decider on Sunday, but the masses are left wondering if there is a coaching victory in Arteta’s locker.

City and Arsenal have both spent fortunes on these teams. The Gunners have been building to end two decades away from the spotlight, should be way ahead in their development and ready – finally – to lift the big one again.

Guardiola is using this, talking up his ‘underdogs’ against ‘the best in Europe’ but the protagonist stood in the dugout evens that up.

Gregg Wallace Lists £1M Home After Departure from MasterChef

Gregg Wallace has announced his decision to put his £1 million Kent property on the market, citing a shift in lifestyle following his well-publicized departure from the BBC.

The 61-year-old former MasterChef presenter was let go by the network last July after a probe into 83 past workplace misconduct allegations, 45 of which were confirmed.

Wallace later pursued legal action against the BBC and BBC Studios Distribution Limited, seeking damages of up to £10,000, claiming they mishandled his personal data, causing him distress. However, he withdrew the lawsuit in February.

On Sunday, the former TV personality shared on Instagram his intentions to sell the expansive home, which boasts five acres, stables, and a pond.

Having purchased the property in 2017, Gregg mentioned that the sale is driven by a desire for a more relaxed lifestyle and to secure financial stability for his younger wife, Anne-Marie, 38, and their six-year-old son, Sid, who has autism.

‘I can’t have the life I used to have but whether you chose to believe it or not, I really wanted to come out of that anyway, but obviously not in the dramatic way that I did’.

He went on: ‘I want to ease off a little bit, I want to relax a little bit. but that also comes with wanting financial security for me and my family because I’ve got a wife that is much younger than me and a special needs little boy, Sid’.

‘I want to relax a bit but I also  want to make sure I can have a certain lifestyle and that I leave a legacy for my family. That’s not easy to do’.

‘So my plan is to sell this enormous house and buy a more modest house. I’ll work less and possibly spend half of the year in Italy making adventures for my family because we love Italy.’

It comes after Gregg said he was studying to be an autism coach after discontinuing a High Court claim against the BBC.

Inspired by  son Sid, who is autistic and nonverbal, he is now channeling his time into teaching children and adults diagnosed with the condition to live self-sufficient lives.

It’s the latest in a series of online ventures for the ex-presenter, who has also earned money through personalised video messages and promotional videos – most recently for a range of non-stick ceramic pans.

In a Substack post shared in January, he claimed the investigation process was ‘not a legal one’ and that ‘the standard of proof would not stand up in a court of law’, comparing it instead to an internal human resources (HR) process.

He alleged an ‘open invitation’ was sent out asking anyone who had ‘ever worked with me (or met me) to come forward and tell their stories’ after his reputation was already ‘being dragged through the mud’.

Gregg, said he was making the move not only for a slower pace of life but also to ensure financial security for wife Anne-Marie, 38, and son Sid, six,

The former presenter, who co-hosted MasterChef with John Torode, 60, for nearly 20 years, pointed out that he had interacted with ‘tens of thousands of people’ over his career, including six new contestants every filming day, changing film crews, other show participants, and attendees at charity events and industry parties.

‘Now, imagine that out of all those people, anyone with a grievance, a dislike, or a misremembered moment is encouraged to join in the investigation into you,’ he wrote. ‘Do you think you would survive without any complaints being made against you?’

He claimed that ‘all but one’ of the 45 upheld complaints dated from before 2018, when he says he received a formal warning about his language.

A preliminary hearing into his claim for £10,000 in damages was cancelled shortly before it was due to take place on February 16, with a BBC spokesperson later confirming that Wallace had discontinued the claim.

They said: ‘Shortly in advance of a hearing, due February 16, Gregg discontinued his claim.

‘He is not receiving any payment in costs or damages from either BBC or BBC Studios.’

Gregg began co-presenting MasterChef in 2005, but it was announced in November 2024 that he would step away from his role while the misconduct allegations were investigated.

A review by law firm Lewis Silkin later upheld 45 of the 83 allegations against him, which mostly occurred between 2005 and 2018 and included one of ‘unwelcome physical contact’.

It said the ‘majority of the substantiated allegations against Mr Wallace related to inappropriate sexual language and humour’, adding that ‘a smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated’.

Gregg issued an apology saying he was ‘deeply sorry for any distress caused’ and that he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’.

Steven Conrad Unveils Shocking ‘DTF St. Louis’ Finale Twist: Exclusive Insights on the [Spoiler] Revelation

DTF St. Louis enthusiasts, were you prepared for that unexpected finale? Creator Steven Conrad ensured the suspense lingered until the very end.

**Warning: Spoilers for DTF St. Louis Episode 7, “No One’s Normal. It Just Looks That Way From Across the Street,” are ahead. Now available on HBO Max.**

The concluding episode of the HBO miniseries, featuring David Harbour, Jason Bateman, and Linda Cardellini, unveils a shocking twist. After weeks of speculation about who was responsible for Floyd’s (played by Harbour) death at the Kevin Kline Community Pool in St. Louis, it is revealed that it was not murder, but a tragic suicide. The twist comes when Floyd’s stepson, Richard (portrayed by Arlan Ruf), discovers Floyd and Clark (played by Bateman) dancing together in nearly nothing. Mistakenly, he believes Floyd is being unfaithful to his mother, Carol (played by Cardellini).

Discussing the series finale with DECIDER, Conrad shared insights about the story’s conclusion and character development. He mentioned that the storyline involving Richard was the clearest path he envisioned from the beginning.

“I recall hearing someone say early in my writing career, ‘Don’t write past your ending,’ which stuck with me,” Conrad said. “The ending is essentially your starting point, although you’re unaware of it initially. Once you discover it, you might need to revisit the story because it signifies your true direction. The entire concept was encapsulated in the promise of the DTF app and its slogan, ‘All the excitement, none of the consequences.’ Anyone with a bit of sense realizes that intimacy without consequences is a false promise. It’s a risky gamble.”

From there, however, it wasn’t as straight forward as having Harbour’s character cheat, Conrad said he wanted to make the audience feel the complexities of the narrative and challenge himself to go past your typical story about someone winding up dead in a threesome. Exploring the idea of intimacy without consequence led to him thinking about what more could be sacrificed in this type of story, which made crafting the finale and the reveal that Richard being let down by Floyd is what led to taking his own life.

“What is the most valuable thing you could lose by playing recklessly with intimacy? The first thing you think of is your marriage or your partner. But then I thought, ‘I bet there’s a there’s a more valuable thing you could lose.’ And so then Richard appeared as an idea [to address] the hardly ever acknowledged plight of so many connected families, or the plight of the step parent to try to connect,” the writer-director said.

He added, “I knew I wanted to write about that ordeal because I hadn’t really seen that in a character I admired before. There’s a lot of evil step-parents in cartoons and the ones that I know in my life are trying every day to be very good at something very hard. So I knew who Floyd was going to be in relation to that walk of his life and then I knew that was going to be the thing that he dropped and broke.”

As for finally putting together the pieces on how Floyd’s penis became bent — something the show began teasing in the first scene of the first episode and then drew out all the way to the end — Conrad also felt like all roads had to lead back to Richard. One thing he did note, though, is that the way Floyd tells Clark about how it went down might be the most intentional part of the entire show.

After weeks of building up the story in bits and pieces, always abruptly leaving the conversation on a cliffhanger as he told the prologue to his Peyronie’s Disease diagnosis, Floyd came clean about his curve by saying simply and plainly that Richard had hit him in the penis with a bat in the middle of the night. It’s so matter of fact that it underpins the love Floyd has for Richard and how broken he is after the confrontation at the Kevin Kline Community Pool before his death.

“He [Floyd] has this instant, easy understanding of this attack and how it made sense for Richard and his role in it. He feels responsible for it, and it was so much more simple to him than a motorcycle accident or getting hit by a car,” Conrad explained. “It was just this thing that Richard did that he might have deserved. It should have felt as easy as that. As easy as if he were to say, ‘Oh, Richard came in and broke the windshield of my car because he was mad at me. I made his mom cry.’”
