On Monday, Britney Spears appeared to be in high spirits as she returned to Instagram to showcase her dance moves.

The 44-year-old pop icon posted several videos, capturing her energetic and unconventional dance routines. Her exuberant performances featured a variety of quirky moves that might not have been part of her stage repertoire during her touring days.

Spears’ vibrant display came just a day after she shared the joyful news of reuniting with her two grown sons, Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, now 48.

Her enthusiastic dancing session followed a recent DUI incident that seemed to spark a renewed closeness with her mother, Lynne Spears, and her children.

In one of the clips, the singer danced energetically to Billie Eilish’s hit track “Bad Guy,” showcasing her signature flair.

She showcased her trim midriff with a bright red crop top, which rode up so that her black bra underneath was completely exposed at times.

Spears left in some comic relief as she whipped off the jacket and tried to dramatically toss it out of frame, only to smack her camera stand and almost send it toppling down.

Her moves put a heavy focus on her dexterous arms, and it sometimes looked almost as if she were voguing.

The hitmaker also crouched down and leered at the camera at one point.

It wasn’t just the dancing moves that looked odd, as Spears also edited the clips in a disjointed manner, including one section in which she repeated footage of a twirl three times in a row.

The video was filmed in a room of Spears’s mansion that looked oddly cluttered with a rack of clothing hanging in the background and some flowers strewn on the floor.

She appeared to trample on the flowers throughout the clip, as the floor was cluttered with bits of torns petals at times, and it was clear that she had filmed several different takes of the video, as at one point her duster suddenly appeared on the ground to her side, despite her having tossed it forward earlier in the video.

Spears suggested that the video had been filmed over a month ago in her caption, in which she seemed to suggest that she was playing a character in her dance videos.

In another dance video from Monday, Spears wore a white knit crop top that hung below her shoulders. 

It covered a skimpy silver minidress with a sizable cutout over her midriff, and Spears had on hot pink underwear underneath the sheer item.

She soundtracked the clip to the slightly sinister hummed tones of Enya’s Boadicea (1987), but Spears moved at lightning-quick speed in contrast to the dreamy music.

She again favored odd moves with her hands and arms, including several that looked as if she was inspired by sign language.

And the Womanizer singer has been regularly attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings in the Los Angeles area.

‘Britney has been very open and honest in her AA meetings, she has said she loves pouring her heart out as she knows that is the best way to heal and feel better,’ a source told The Daily Mail.

‘The only thing she has indulged in is fancy coffee drinks. She is being super careful because she wants to be there for her kids.’

The Louisiana native has been catching up on quality time with her sons lately.

Alcoholics Anonymous is an international, peer-led mutual aid organization dedicated to abstinence-based recovery from alcoholism through a Twelve Step program. 

This is not the first time Spears has been in AA. 

According to her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me, she was mandated to attend meetings four times a week during her 13-year conservatorship.

She described the legal arrangement, which was controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, as a restrictive environment.

A representative for Spears said in early March that the singer needs ‘help and support’ after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The Toxic singer was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol around 9:30 p.m. on March 3 in Ventura County, with reports saying she was handcuffed on suspicion of DUI and booked around 3:00 a.m. before being released around 6:00 a.m.

Shortly after the news of her arrest broke, a rep told Daily Mail: ‘This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.

‘…[Britney’s] boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for wellbeing.’

Ventura County sheriff records show Britney is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.

On Monday, March 30, San Francisco’s district attorney revealed that Sheryl Davis, a former leader in human rights, has been booked into the county jail.

This case echoes a familiar narrative: Public officials or individuals misuse taxpayer-funded programs, often under the guise of aiding marginalized communities, and subsequently deflect responsibility by alleging discrimination.

Davis, who previously served as the executive director of the city’s Human Rights Commission, is now facing 17 felony charges. These include allegations of embezzling public funds, conflicts of interest in government contracts exceeding $8.5 million, perjury, and receiving gifts from prohibited sources.

Her long-term partner, James Spingola, who formerly led a nonprofit organization in San Francisco, has also been charged for allegedly assisting in the scheme.

The details provided by officials paint a picture that could easily be mistaken for a plotline from a political comedy.

Davis allegedly steered millions from the city’s troubled Dream Keeper Initiative (DKI), a roughly $120 million program launched by former Mayor London Breed in 2021, to Collective Impact, the group Davis’ live-in boyfriend ran.

Meanwhile, the funds allegedly helped bankroll her VIP lifestyle: first-class flights, concert tickets, luxury events, PR firms to promote her personal brand.

A city audit exposed $4.6 million in ineligible or questionable spending under her watch.

The DKI was born amid the emotional aftermath of George Floyd’s death. Marketed as a bold response to “systemic inequities,” it directed money away from police and toward black-specific programs.

During Davis’ tenure at the Human Rights Commission, this high-minded equity experiment devolved into a scandal-ridden mess that has since triggered funding freezes, canceled grants, and reforms under new city leadership. 

Here’s where things have turned predictable. Davis’s attorney, Tony Brass, offered a shopworn defense: She supposedly lacked proper guidance, financial supervision, and adequate support from the city.

It is downright ludicrous to suggest that a seasoned professional specifically hired to head a major commission somehow lacked the basic resources or wherewithal to avoid allegedly funneling millions of taxpayers’ dollars to her longtime beau while apparently treating herself to a VIP lifestyle on the public dime.

Audits indicate that Davis knowingly violated purchasing rules, overrode staff concerns, and split invoices to dodge oversight thresholds.

What also strains credulity is the predictable rhetorical pivot that follows these accountability moments.
Instead of squarely addressing the mountain of evidence, undisclosed relationships, dodgy invoices, and personal enrichment, defenders quickly pivot to questioning the investigators’ motives, often hinting at unfair targeting of a prominent civil rights figure or an assault on equity programs themselves.

It’s a well-worn script:

In Chicago, Mayor Brandon Johnson faced a 2025 Department of Justice civil rights investigation into hiring practices after he publicly boasted about stacking senior roles with black appointees to ensure “our people get a chance.” He dismissed it as a politically motivated “attack on diversity.”

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz labeled criticism of massive fraud scandals, over $1 billion in misused social services funds, many involving the Somali community, as “vile, racist lies and slander,” with testimony in hearings revealing how fears of racism accusations reportedly slowed aggressive investigation.

Rep. Ilhan Omar has warned that connecting such fraud cases to the Somali-American community risks recycling “racist tropes.”

Across these examples, racial identity –– or the progressive branding of the spending –– magically transforms into a shield against ordinary rules of procurement, disclosure, and basic fiduciary responsibility.

It’s as if standard audits and conflict-of-interest laws suddenly become suspect the moment they touch equity initiatives.

This tactic doesn’t just insult public intelligence; it risks insulating real misconduct in programs ostensibly designed to help vulnerable communities, breeding cynicism and ultimately shortchanging the very people the funds were meant to serve.

Effective governance requires something we should actually find refreshingly simple: separating genuine policy disagreements from clear evidence of grift, perjury, favoritism, or self-dealing.

Outcomes in cases like Davis’ –– arrests, ethics findings, and ongoing probes –– should turn on facts, documents, bank records, and due process, not convenient rhetoric that equates basic accountability with prejudice.

Public trust in government, particularly when it involves hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ money for social spending, hinges on applying neutral rules consistently, no matter the official’s background or how nobly the initiative may have originated.

Anything less is just performative disbelief in the very standards we claim to uphold.

In Mokena, Illinois, a significant discovery has unfolded as authorities continue to uncover human remains in a field where the bones of a missing individual were found just last week, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, law enforcement officials reported finding more remains during an exhaustive search of the site located at the intersection of Townline Road and Oakwood Drive in Mokena.

Residents can expect to see ongoing police presence in the vicinity for several hours and potentially into Monday night as investigations continue.

Initially, bones were discovered in this field last Tuesday afternoon, marking the start of this grim investigation.

The sheriff’s office noted that land surveyors stumbled upon what they believed to be a human skull, prompting deputies to uncover additional scattered bones throughout the area.

On Friday night, the Will County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the remains are that of 36-year-old Terhan F. Gordon, a Joliet man whose family reported him missing in July 2025.

He was last seen in the 1500-block of Route 53 and North Broadway Street in late June.

Gordon’s cause and manner of death were not immediately known.

“The Joliet Police Department extends our deepest condolences to Mr. Gordon’s loved ones during this difficult time. Our detectives remain committed to working in coordination with the Will County Sheriff’s Office and the Will County Coroner’s Office as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Mr. Gordon,” said Joliet Police Chief Bill Evans.

Will County sheriff’s police are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the remains recovered on Monday.

Federal investigators revealed on Monday that the man who crashed his pickup truck into a synagogue in Michigan earlier this month was motivated and radicalized by Hezbollah, a terrorist organization backed by Iran. His intent was reportedly to inflict maximum harm on the Jewish community.

The suspect, identified as Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, attempted to carry out a large-scale attack on March 12, specifically choosing a facility in West Bloomfield where more than 100 children were present. He was ultimately stopped and fatally shot by responding officers. According to local officials, Ghazali’s actions were reportedly fueled by the loss of several family members during Lebanon’s conflict with Israel.

In preparation for the attack, Ghazali allegedly modified his truck with booby traps, fireworks, explosives, and significant quantities of gasoline. Prior to crashing into the building, he reportedly waited in the parking lot of Temple Israel, sending videos to his sister in Lebanon. The footage showed him armed and listening to militant anthems.

“This is the largest gathering of Israelis in the state of Michigan in the United States. I have booby-trapped the car. I will forcibly enter and start shooting them. God willing, I will kill as many of them as I possibly can,” Ghazali stated in one of the videos, according to Jennifer Runyon, the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Detroit office.

Authorities were called to Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, on March 12, after the suspect drove into the synagogue and opened fire, leading to his subsequent shooting by security personnel.

James Gorgon, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, added that had the attacker survived, he would have been charged with providing “material support” to Hezbollah for effectively providing himself as the weapon aimed at Michigan’s largest Jewish temple.

According to investigators, Ghazali reportedly consumed pro-Hezbollah and Iranian militant propaganda for months leading up to the attack, ultimately planning what he called a “special operation” aimed at causing mass casualties.

He allegedly created a Facebook album titled “Vengeance,” filled with images of Hezbollah leaders and militant quotes, and also sent his sister a photo of an Israeli flag covered up with yellow paint, a color often used to represent loyalty and sacrifice to Hezbollah.

“You killed the Ali and Hussein of our time. We will avenge their blood,” one of his Facebook status posts said hours before the attack, referencing the overseas deaths of his family members.

“We will seek retribution for their sacred blood,” another post said. “Israel is a cancerous, malignant growth. Israel is pure evil and the oppressors will soon know what kind of end they will meet.”

Within three days prior to the attack, Ghazali researched local synagogues, targeting what he called “the largest gathering of Israelis in Michigan,” according to the officials. He reportedly purchased an AR-style rifle, 300 rounds of ammunition, and more than $2,200 worth of fireworks.

He filled collapsible containers with roughly 35 gallons of gasoline across multiple trips to use as an explosive accelerant in his truck, adding fireworks to booby-trap the vehicle before ramming it into the synagogue.

Officials added that just minutes before launching the attack, Ghazali sat in the Temple Israel parking lot and sent his sister in Lebanon 19 videos, photos and messages affirming his commitment to a mass terrorist plan.

During the attack, the suspect ultimately exchanged gunfire with synagogue security and ignited the explosives inside his vehicle after ramming into the temple doors at a high speed.

While the assailant acted alone, officials emphasized that he methodically followed Hezbollah’s propaganda directives to carry out the violence.

“I’ve seen some odd attempts to explain away or even lessen this terrorist attack by claiming that he was an isolated lone wolf, but that is misleading,” Gorgon said. “Terrorist propaganda is designed to activate the so-called lone wolf to act on behalf of the terrorist organization.”

“I am convinced that my office would prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed the federal crime of providing material support to Hezbollah,” he added. 

Officials noted that the attacker was not on any terrorist watch list and had never been the subject of an FBI investigation before the attack.

No evidence of co-conspirators or ongoing threats were found, investigators said. 

“We stand firmly with our Jewish community. We remain unwavering in our commitment to protect them and all members of our community, from those who seek to do harm,” West Bloomfield Police Chief Dale Young said.
