Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

As a child of God, you’re not subject to the elements of this world. This isn’t mere rhetoric; it’s the revelation of your nature and position in Christ. The Bible says you’re dead with Christ to the rudiments, the elemental principles of this world. That means they don’t govern you; you reign over them.

Always remember that being born again, you’re not of this world. You’re superior to Satan and the disabling influences of this world. You’re not subject to the same limitations of the unregenerate man. There’s a higher law by which you live: the law of the Spirit of life, and it overrides the natural laws of this world.

For example, when faced with harsh weather conditions, the natural response for the natural man is to yield and say, “It’s too cold,” or “It’s unbearably hot,” and then adapt to such natural elements. But faith responds differently. You rise above it. You declare your dominion over the elements of this world.

When you’re confronted with an unfavourable condition in your health or finances, don’t accept them as final. Don’t live by the projections of so-called economic and medical experts. Rather, respond on the basis of God’s Word. The Word of God is the governing principle of the divine life in you; it overrides the natural laws and elements of this world.

The Apostle John affirms, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them…” (1 John 4:4). Act on the Word. Refuse to be limited by natural conditions. You don’t have to deny their existence, but you must prohibit their authority over you. The Lord Jesus said, “…be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

He overcame the world, its systems and elements. And when He did, you were in Him. Walk in this consciousness and consistently manifest victory, dominion and excellence over the systems, structures, and elements of this world.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the life of victory you’ve given me in Christ. I’m not subject to the elements of this world, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is at work in me. I walk in dominion and exercise authority over circumstances, systems, structures and principles of this world today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ukraine Strikes Heart of Russian Daily Life in Bold New Target

Analysts observe that Ukraine is shifting the battlefield to Russian soil, leveraging an intensified drone offensive aimed at critical infrastructure intertwined with everyday Russian life.

Several years after Russia’s comprehensive invasion, Ukraine is increasingly deploying locally manufactured drones to puncture deep into Russian domains.

Among these high-value targets is Wildberries, Russia’s leading e-commerce platform, known for its extensive network of storage and distribution facilities.

More than 20 of Wildberries’ sites have been assault targets, including locations situated over 2,000 kilometers from Ukrainian borders.

Specialists highlight that the significance lies not just in the assaults on individual storages, but in sending broader messages.

They say the attacks demonstrate Ukraine’s expanding ability to reach deep inside Russia, while making the economic and psychological costs of the war harder for ordinary Russians to ignore.

Bringing the war ‘home’

Professor Matthew Sussex, a defence and national security expert at Deakin University, said Ukraine is deliberately trying to make the war’s consequences harder for ordinary Russians to ignore.

“Ukraine is hitting Wildberries mainly to bring the cost of war home to Russians,” he said.

He described Wildberries as Russia’s version of Amazon, a platform where people can buy almost anything and have it delivered to their door.

“Wildberries has become extremely popular for everyday Russians to order things, consumer goods that they have relied on in the past which have become unavailable due to the sanctions regime [placed on Russia by other countries],” he said.

Sussex said Ukraine’s strategy is ultimately about making Russians feel the consequences of a war that, for many, has remained at a distance.

“If you’re in Moscow or some parts of St Petersburg, you don’t really feel the cost of the conflict,” he said.

“Ultimately, Ukraine has to change the game up somehow.”

Why else was Wildberries targeted?

There is also a military dimension to the strikes.

Ukraine says Wildberries has been involved in supplying Russian forces with military and dual-use equipment.

Retired Australian Army major-general Mick Ryan agreed there’s a strategic reason for choosing Wildberries.

“These things are part of the Russian military logistics network,” he said. “Russian soldiers and units buy things out of these warehouses all the time.”

Wildberries and the Russian government have both said the e-commerce giant does not supply to the army.

Sussex believes the broader economic impact is ultimately more significant. Wildberries has billions of dollars in annual sales, and thousands of Russian businesses rely on the platform to sell and distribute their products.

“The concern is that if these attacks continue, then Wildberries may have to be bailed out by the government,” Sussex said.

“The implications are much more economic, much more structural.”

Ryan also said that as the targets were warehouses, the potential for civilian casualties when attacking them was “very much reduced” compared to sites like shopping malls.

Oleksandra Molloy, a drone warfare expert and senior lecturer at the University of New South Wales, said the focus is ultimately on the logistics network behind Wildberries.

“It’s really that logistics and transport network and supply chain of goods that support the Russian military,” she told SBS News.

“It also appears to be part of the attempt to increase economic pressure in Russia.”

By targeting Wildberries, Ukraine can simultaneously disrupt military-related supply chains, put pressure on the wider Russian economy and affect a company deeply embedded in everyday life.

Ukraine steps up its aerial capacity

The attacks are part of a broader evolution in Ukraine’s use of drones.

Molloy said it indicates the technology has moved well beyond reconnaissance and intelligence gathering.

Ukraine is now using long-range unmanned systems to conduct precise strikes against infrastructure.

She describes the shift as a form of “drone sanctions” — the use of relatively inexpensive unmanned technology to pressure an adversary beyond the battlefield.

Experts say that the distance of these attacks is significant in its own right.

Some of the Wildberries facilities targeted by Ukraine are more than 2,000 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, and Molloy said systems are tested to around 3,400km.

For Ryan, that demonstrates how dramatically Ukraine’s long-range strike capability has developed.

He said four-and-a-half years ago, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion, Ukraine did not have this capability. Now, it can threaten targets across Russia.

“It tells us that Ukraine can hit wherever it wants in Russia,” Ryan said.

Ryan said Ukraine has built the capability largely through domestic defence production, rapidly developing and refining its own drones and missiles.

“Long-range strikes don’t win wars … But it’s an important component of any winning strategy.”

But the capability isn’t just about the technology. It also requires detailed intelligence, planning and personnel dedicated to carrying out long-range missions.

Molloy said the Wildberries strikes provide a clear demonstration of that capability, with the evolution meaning drones can now threaten “critical infrastructure, military points, but also any logistics operations”.

“It’s not limited only to the battlefield itself,” she said.

“It shows that it just goes well beyond that.”

Stretching Russia’s air defences

Ryan told SBS News that the strikes have another strategic benefit.

Ryan said Russia must decide how much air defence it can devote to protecting infrastructure far from the front line, given Ukraine has worked hard to degrade its air-defence network, targeting its sensors, interceptors, units and commanders.

“One of the things Ukrainians have worked very hard on is taking down the air defence system in Russia,” he said.

“The sensors, the interceptors, the units, the commanders.”

He said more targets Russia is forced to defend, the harder those decisions become.

“There are more different kinds of targets across a wider geographical area that the Russians are forced to defend,” he said.

“Not only are they using up interceptors, but they are creating gaps that the Ukrainians can penetrate for attacks on important industrial and defence industry targets.”

Ryan said that is part of the broader calculation behind targeting infrastructure like Wildberries, forcing Russia to spread its defences across an enormous geographical area, potentially leaving more strategically important sites exposed.

Making Russians feel the war

That growing capability gives Ukraine another way to fight a war where the front line itself has remained relatively static.

Sussex describes it as an “aerial war in the rear areas of the conflict”.

Rather than relying solely on battlefield gains, Ukraine is trying to degrade Russia’s ability to sustain the war, while simultaneously making the conflict more tangible for its population.

For ordinary Russians, that could mean disrupted deliveries, damaged businesses, rising economic costs and, ultimately, confronting the reality that the war isn’t happening in Ukraine alone.

Ryan said there is a clear psychological dimension to the strikes.

If Ukraine is willing to fly more than 2,000km to hit a warehouse, Russia has to consider what else Ukraine could reach.

But he warned the strategy could backfire on Ukraine, with Russians potentially “doubling down” in their support for the war.

Sussex echoed this sentiment, adding that despite growing frustration with the war, Russia’s government has extensive tools to suppress public dissent.

Carjacker’s Rampage Injures 8 at McDonald’s Drive-Thru Scene

A terrifying carjacking spree in California has left eight people injured, including a teenage victim who was “launched” and narrowly escaped death. The incident reached a dramatic conclusion with a crash at a McDonald’s drive-thru.

“It’s shocking how life can change in an instant,” remarked Brandon Mendez, 19, in an interview with local ABC news outlet KABC, as he recounted the harrowing Culver City carjacking pursuit that led to his hospitalization.

Mendez recalled his initial disbelief as he witnessed the vehicle running through red lights, stating, “I thought nothing of it at first. I moved aside, but even then, the car swerved and still managed to hit me.”

This revelation to KABC comes nearly a month after police apprehended Juan Luis Estrada, 45, of Perris. He faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, carjacking, felony evading, battery, and resisting arrest, in connection with the Camry’s violent journey.

Estrada carjacked a white Toyota Camry at knifepoint in downtown Los Angeles on June 16 and then got into a “hit-and-run collision” near Centinela Avenue and Washington Boulevard in Culver City that injured four pedestrians, according to a police press release.

Estrada “fled the scene without stopping,” the release says.

“While officers were responding to that collision, another hit-and-run was reported in the 3800 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, where the same vehicle struck another motorist and again fled,” police allege.

As officers investigated the incidents, information came in through witness statements, the vehicle’s license plate, and Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology that helped officers locate Estrada in Culver City.

At around 7:26 p.m., officers located Estrada near Centinela Avenue and attempted to stop him. Estrada allegedly refused to yield and fled eastbound on Culver Boulevard, initiating a pursuit.

“During the pursuit, officers observed the suspect drive with an extreme disregard for public safety,” police say. “The suspect traveled at high speeds, ran multiple red lights, drove into opposing lanes of traffic, and weaved recklessly around other vehicles. Officers also observed the suspect repeatedly steer toward pedestrians who were in or near the roadway.”

Police believe Estrada was “intentionally attempting to strike pedestrians” that night. At least eight people were injured during his rampage.

“The suspect’s actions created a clear and immediate danger to community members and demonstrated a complete disregard for human life,” police say.

Recounting how he was struck, Mendez told KABC, “I was hit, and I was launched pretty far. They caught him moving at 80 mph.”

Estrada was allegedly caught on surveillance video striking multiple people with the stolen Camry, including Mendez. A GoFundMe launched by Mendez’s sister says “the impact sent Brandon flying 20 feet, causing him to lose his belongings and leaving him with life-threatening injuries.”

Mendez suffered severe internal bleeding, spinal and cerebral fractures and a chipped tooth, and he had his spleen removed, KABC reports. His aorta was also torn and he now has a stent “to help him recover,” according to Mendez’s sister.

“I can’t lift more than 25 pounds right now,” Mendez told KABC.

Estrada’s evening onslaught finally ended at a McDonald’s in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard, according to police.

“[Estrada] collided head-on with another vehicle in [the McDonald’s] drive-thru lane,” cops allege. “[Estrada] exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by pursuing officers.”

Police say “additional charges are anticipated as detectives continue reviewing evidence, surveillance footage, and witness statements.”

Mendez, it should be noted, has been deported twice before.

In another case highlighting immigration issues, Erik Santana-Garcia, a Mexican citizen who previously faced deportation but returned unlawfully to the United States, has been sentenced to two decades behind bars. The charges involve the sexual exploitation of minors and have drawn sharp attention from federal authorities.

At 34 years old, Santana-Garcia, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, received his sentence on July 30. His punishment includes 20 years in federal prison without the chance of parole, followed by a lifelong period of supervised release. This came after his conviction for transporting a minor across state lines for illegal sexual activities, possessing child pornography, and unlawfully reentering the U.S. subsequent to a deportation. These details were confirmed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri.

Court records reveal that Santana-Garcia admitted to his crimes, entering a guilty plea on March 3.

Last month, 34-year-old Erik Santana-Garcia, originating from Mexico, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison without parole, with a lifetime of supervised release to follow. (ICE)

Santana-Garcia transported a minor across state lines intending to engage in illegal sexual activity with the child, prosecutors said.

He left Utah with the victim on Nov. 10, 2024, and intended to take the child to New York, but Oak Grove, Missouri, police located the pair two days later. Investigators with Homeland Security Investigations later discovered child pornography depicting a second minor on a phone seized from Santana-Garcia at the time of his arrest, prosecutors said.

Santana-Garcia had previously been deported and removed from the US multiple times, most recently on March 6, 2019, according to prosecutors.

“Now, Erik Santana-Garcia’s going to spend the next 20 years in a federal prison because ICE HSI Kansas City, ICE HSI Salt Lake City, ICE HSI Billings and local police from Oak Grove, Missouri, nabbed him,” Immigration and Customs Enforcement wrote on X.

Rod Stewart Delays “One Last Time” Tour: Heartfelt Message Follows Medical Procedure

At the very last moment, Rod Stewart had to delay his concert due to a “minor medical procedure.” This unforeseen situation led to a change in plans, disappointing fans who were eagerly awaiting his performance.

The 81-year-old rock icon was scheduled to perform at Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center on Sunday, alongside Richard Marx, as part of his “One Last Time” tour. The announcement came as a surprise to many attendees.

According to an 11th-hour announcement by the venue, “Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart’s performance tonight in Cincinnati at Riverbend Music Center has been POSTPONED.”

Efforts to reschedule the performance are already in progress, with updates promised for Tuesday. Fans have been assured that their previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date.

The venue also conveyed optimism about Stewart’s return, stating, “Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati.”

Stewart’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Earlier this year, the “Forever Young” singer canceled two Las Vegas concerts on doctor’s orders hours before showtime.

“Following his doctor’s advice, Rod Stewart has regretfully canceled his performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, but is scheduled to return with shows beginning June 2,” a representative told the Las Vegas Review-Journal at the time.

Stewart later apologized to fans in a statement shared on social media.

“My apologies to my family of fans. I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection,” he wrote. “I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer.”

In June, the “Maggie May” musician canceled another show hours before he was set to take the stage.

“Well, here I am in beautiful Chula Vista as the stage is being taken down around me. Following treatment, I’m feeling much better, but my voice is not,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

“I’m very disappointed and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I did everything I could to make the show happen tonight, but unfortunately it just wasn’t possible. I will do my utmost to reschedule,” he said.

Later that month, Stewart “nearly fainted” mid-show and required an oxygen tank.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Stewart began to heavily lean on various pieces of equipment while still attempting to perform. At one point, he turned around and gave a nod to a team of people backstage who quickly tended to him.

One woman brought out an oxygen tank, while another put a cold compress on his neck.

“The show must go on,” Stewart said in the microphone, before admitting he “nearly fainted.”

As the summer transfer window approached, anticipation swirled around Manchester United, with many expecting the club to open its wallet significantly.

After securing a third-place finish and, importantly, a coveted spot in the Champions League, United seemed poised to benefit from an unprecedented access fee from Amazon’s All or Nothing documentary. In addition, there was a record sponsorship deal for their training kits with Betway, increased sponsorship agreements with existing partners, and the notable removal of hefty salaries for stars like Casemiro and Jadon Sancho from their expenses.

The scene was set for a transformative £200 million overhaul of the midfield. The list of potential targets included high-caliber players such as Elliot Anderson, Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, Mateus Fernandes, and Aurelien Tchouameni, all lined up to help restore Manchester United to the pinnacle of English and European football.

However, with the team now enjoying a five-day training camp, designed for team building, in Ireland, fans have started voicing their concerns once more about the decisions coming from the upper management.

It raises the pressing question: Are they truly serious about vying with the best of the best?

Actions speak louder than words 

There are a handful of things that Ineos and the decision-makers at Manchester United love.

They love to tell supporters about the ‘clear plan’ to take them back to contending for Premier League titles. They love self-imposed frugality and how that shift in approach no longer leaves United open to being a pawn in the game of chess that is the transfer window. And they love project players in the mould of Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven, Sekou Kone, Enzo Kana-Biyik, Diego Leon, Cristian Orozco and Tynan Thompson.

‘We have a clear plan,’ director of football Jason Wilcox said back in October. ‘I am sure there are going to be bumps in the road but we have just got to make sure we stay calm irrespective of the noise outside.’

Only this summer, that same phrase was repeated by chief executive Omar Berrada through the club’s internal podcast arm Inside Carrington.

‘We have a clear plan,’ Berrada said. ‘[Director of football] Jason Wilcox and his team are well set up to execute that plan.

‘What we saw last season is a good way forward for us. We want a mix of experience and youth. A mix of players who have demonstrated they can perform in the Premier League and players that are doing very well outside the Premier League.

‘Whatever decisions we take will not just be for the short term but the long term.’

The issue Manchester United are facing is that talking about a plan doesn’t represent fun for supporters.

Restraint isn’t fun. Projects tend to be a slow process that take years to pay off, with the likes of Leon, Orozco and Kana-Biyik some way off first team football.

Fans of any club crave the dopamine rush a new transfer provides. The transfer window has become an addictive loop of rumour and reward, and the absence of business quickly causes inquests online.

And there is some legitimacy to the frustrations of many United fans. They didn’t get Anderson, their undisputed No 1 target. He ended up at Manchester City in a £116million record-breaking deal for an English midfielder. An obvious ‘bump in the road’, as Wilcox put it.

They didn’t get Mateus Fernandes, a player that felt much more attainable internally before the finances involved exploded and Ineos’ frugality kicked in. He ended up at Tottenham Hotspur for £85million. United were frustrated that the player didn’t push more to end up at Old Trafford.

Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali have both long been admired but figures close to both parties have explained to Daily Mail Sport how any hope United would get close to the financials to land one of Newcastle’s star men was quickly extinguished under their new, more austere regime. They ended up at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for a combined £175million.

‘We have to be really disciplined. We have a plan, we know what we can invest and we need to stick to it,’ Berrada added back in June. ‘In some cases, we may decide to make an investment knowing it is the right thing, not for the next two or three years but the next ten.

‘We need to stay very focused on what we are trying to achieve. It’s very important you don’t let the market or the agents dictate what we should be doing.’

The final line is the kicker. In a market where the base price for a good-to-great Premier League midfielder is around £75-80million, United are determined not to fall into the traps of the previous regime, where big-money signings would lead to years of expensive repayments, all for little-to-no on-pitch success.

So, United pivoted. First to Andrey Santos, a player United first brought up to Chelsea when the terms of Alejandro Garnacho’s move were discussed a year ago, before finally getting him for £50million earlier this summer.

Then it was Youri Tielemans, triggering his £35million release clause. Having landed the Premier League’s official ‘Signing of the Season’ in Senne Lammens last term, internally there is a belief that his fellow Belgian Tielemans can make it two-for-two in 2026-27.

Both are smart signings with huge upside. Adding to Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Lammens, Ineos can point to a track record of their way being a successful one.

Internally, too, there has been a real eagerness to no longer be seen as a club that can be ripped off, a club that agents can manipulate or bully. This was one of the main reasons they didn’t cave on their valuation of Jorge Mendes client Fernandes when Tottenham upped the ante.

The desire to limit leaks is stronger than ever, too. Wilcox and Berrada have placed immense emphasis on acting in the shadows and out of the court of public opinion. The Tielemans signing appeared to outsiders to come from nowhere, much to the delight of bosses.

They have been decisive in moving on from Rasmus Hojlund, in getting all the wages covered in the loans for Andre Onana (Trabzonspor) and Altay Bayindir (Celta Vigo), and insiders believe United are close to escaping the dreaded cycle of being seen as a poor recruiter, blinded by star power.

But with three weeks left to go in this transfer window, Ineos and United’s decision makers are at a crossroads.

It’s an expensive market and Michael Carrick needs more. With Champions League football on the horizon, and the first seven games coming in a 29-day stretch, Carrick needs help.

United proved against Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg that they are ready to be aggressive on the pitch, with their exciting style of play. The question now is, can Ineos be aggressive off it?

So, where do they need to strengthen? 

Signing a left back is absolutely essential.

Two enquiries to Newcastle United for Lewis Hall – both strongly rebuffed – show that United know that, too.

For as much credit as Luke Shaw deserves for starting every single Premier League game last season, asking him to replicate it amid the added strain of European football feels like wishful thinking.

The options in front of United are to make a big play for Hall, a player that could be United’s and England’s left back for the next decade. Newcastle will want record money for a full back. That won’t change.

Or there is the youth route, promoting Harry Amass, who has looked bright during pre-season. Yet he has been told his best chance for regular game-time is elsewhere. United are understood to be open to both loan and permanent deals.

And then there is the cheap option of keeping faith with Shaw and leaning on Noussair Mazraoui, who plays left back for Morocco, in case of injury.

Only one of those three options would signal that United are heading towards the very top, and it’s not options two or three. Patrick Dorgu, despite being listed as a defender in every squad list, is only seen as an option further forward on the wing.

Then there is the conundrum of the midfield, and whether United do or don’t need a third recruit in that area (they do).

Mason Mount, who has been a huge success across pre-season, came off in Gothenburg after 20 minutes and that highlighted the fragility of United’s side just a fortnight out from the season.

Mount is popular with every manager he plays under but his reliability is an issue. He has started just 25 league games since joining United for £55million three years ago.

Tielemans, as exciting a signing as he is, missed over 20 games with injury last season.

Manuel Ugarte is a long-term absentee and the plan was to move him on. Casemiro has gone. Santos is a smart addition and Kobbie Mainoo will rightly be an important figure. But United need another body. Shifting too much onus, too soon onto the likes of Tyler Fletcher, who is expected to be the young midfielder United place the most effort into developing for the first team this season, is unfair.

‘For us to get in the top four and consistently challenge for Champions League places, win the Champions League, win the Premier League, we have got to invest in the squad,’ Wilcox said back in that October sit-down. ‘We have got to buy the right players.’

And so far they’ve done that. Of the 13 first-team signings to this point under Ineos, only Ugarte has proven a major disappointment.

But if Project 150 – the stated aim of winning the Premier League title by 2028 in United’s 150th anniversary year – is legitimate and not just a piece of catchy PR, United face a defining three weeks to set the tone for where they are going.

Ineos deserve trust and patience to navigate ‘bumps in the road’ after their success in moving on the deadwood, bringing down the wage bill, transforming the team’s fortunes with hits in the transfer market, and committing to plans for a new stadium.

But patience doesn’t last for ever and if, in three weeks’ time, United are still light in midfield, relying on Shaw as a sole left back option, and there is no back-up to Sesko, don’t be surprised if many fans’ patience has run out.
