A Canadian illegal immigrant known for striking a teenage girl at the Jersey Shore over her pro-Trump attire has faced a setback in her legal defense efforts. Despite attempts to crowdfund her immigration case, she fell far short of her financial target.

In a bid to cover legal expenses, an online campaign for Kaitlyn Tracey aimed to gather $10,000 but managed to collect only $4,857. The campaign’s underwhelming outcome came as a final defeat when she was ordered to be deported to Canada on Tuesday.

Previously, her husband, Matthew Geroni, had initiated a GoFundMe page to support Tracey, 33, but GoFundMe swiftly removed it. The platform cited violations of its policies, which prohibit fundraising for individuals accused of violent crimes.

Nicknamed the “Maple Leaf Menace” by the Department of Homeland Security, Tracey entered a guilty plea remotely from a Texas ICE detention facility. She admitted to one count of simple assault, a misdemeanor, as part of a favorable plea arrangement finalized Tuesday in Toms River.

As a consequence, Tracey was deported to Canada and received a one-day jail sentence. However, she benefited from time served due to her previous detention in Ocean County last month.

Tracey was nabbed after confronting a group of four teenagers — including a girl wearing a USA 250 tank top – before launching the twisted attack on July 3 on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach.

The Canadian got into an argument with the teen and slapped her across the face in the caught-on-camera assault, cops said.

Tracey overstayed her visa and was in the US illegally at the time of her arrest, according to DHS.

The Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a delightful birthday celebration with a unique two-tiered cake, a nod to one of her cherished hobbies – mahjong.

On a sunny Tuesday in Montecito, Meghan turned 45 and expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of ‘birthday love’ by sharing a captivating photo of herself joyfully leaping into an outdoor pool.

The birthday wishes extended beyond her Instagram followers; her dear friend and renowned fashion designer Tracy Robbins also joined in the celebration by posting a sweet image of Meghan’s birthday cake along with an array of heartfelt pictures of their friendship.

‘Happy birthday to my partner in crime,’ Tracy shared affectionately on her Instagram Stories, adding, ‘Love doing life with you one bam bird at a time. Love you @meghan.’

The mention of a bam bird alludes to a tile in the strategic game of mahjong, a beloved past-time dating back to 19th-century China. This engaging game, which involves drawing and discarding tiles to complete sets, has long captivated Meghan and her intimate circle of friends, fondly known as the ‘Maj Squad’, which includes Tracy.

Alongside a picture of the cake, which featured ‘Meghan’ in gold icing, was a photograph of the Duchess blowing out the candles while wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and her £4,145 Logan Hollowell Queen Emerald Cut Cuban Choker.

Among the other black-and-white images were a picture of a group of friends playing the game, one of Tracy and Meghan at dinner, and another of the pair sipping cocktails.

Meghan has repeatedly revealed her love of mahjong, and in the first series of her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, the mother-of-two welcomed Tracy, cosmetics entrepreneur Victoria Jackson and literary agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh to play while enjoying tacos and cocktails.

Last year, the Duchess’s close friend Vicky Tsai, the founder of Tatcha skincare, shed light on Meghan and Harry’s hobbies, revealing both enjoy playing mahjong and have taken up pickleball – an increasingly popular paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.

Speaking to People magazine, she said: ‘She’s really creative and curious. She enjoys things that you wouldn’t expect – like mahjong.

‘She’s constantly trying to pull me into her weekly mahjong group. And she and Harry are pretty passionate about pickleball. They are trying to convince me to join the group!’

Earlier this summer in June, Meghan added a new member to her ‘Maj Squad’ – Kelly McKee Zajfen.

Kelly, the Alliance of Moms co-founder – a non-profit that provides support to pregnant and parenting youth in LA’s foster care system, joined the Duchess, whom she has been friends with for 20 years, for a game in the sunshine.

Taking to Instagram, Kelly, a former model, shared a picture of herself playing the game outdoors with cocktails, before thanking ‘M & T’ in the caption, a reference to Meghan and Tracy.

She captioned the picture: ‘Ugh, oh. Another one has been taken by the Maj bug. That being me.

‘A perfect day spent with my ladies and having some much needed mama time. Thanks M & T. Now back to the babes and obsessing over my next game.’

Tracy then shared the picture to her Stories, writing: ‘You are a natural. Love you. Miss you already.’

It comes after Meghan posted a new clip of her dancing to a happy birthday song earlier this week.

The Duchess posted a series of videos from the day on Instagram, showing her bopping to the music and laughing as she and Prince Harry put paper hats on their two dogs, Pula and Mamma Mia.

Her lifestyle brand As Ever also congratulated the mother-of-two with a snap of Meghan wearing a Céline shirt and white Anine Bing ‘Brie’ jeans.

The company’s social media post also included a throwback photo of a young Meghan sporting pigtails and a white turtleneck, seated in what looks to be her childhood bedroom.

The brand wrote: ‘Happy birthday to our founder, @meghan. Lighting No. 084 to celebrate!’

The caption referenced a candle sold by the brand, which appeared alongside other As Ever products in one of a quartet of photos posted to celebrate Meghan’s special day.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently condemned Russia’s actions, describing them as lunacy, after a startling video surfaced. The footage captures a Russian military drone appearing to stalk a Ukrainian vegetable vendor before detonating alarmingly close to him.

This alarming event unfolded on August 4 at a bustling market in Kherson, located in Southern Ukraine. Video evidence provided by the Kherson Regional Military Administration reveals a drone hovering and tailing a vendor as he navigated around his minibus. The situation escalated when the drone plummeted and exploded perilously close to the vehicle’s front, near where the man stood.

Zelenskyy took to X to express his indignation, writing, “A Russian drone deliberately targeted a man selling vegetables, only to detonate inches away from him.” He continued to denounce Russia, accusing them of shamelessly admitting the attack without remorse, even bragging about their cruelty. The explosion injured the vendor. In Kherson, such perilous encounters have become a grim reality for its residents, with Russian forces engaging in what they crudely call “safaris” against civilians.

The vendor, a 52-year-old named Yuriy, emerged alive from the terrifying incident. Ukrainian officials have pointed to this event as yet another instance in a disturbing trend where Russian drones are used to track and target civilians, a horrifying campaign they’ve termed as “human safaris.”

Speaking from a hospital bed, Yuriy told BBC that he and his wife were setting up their stall when he heard the drone buzzing nearby. His wife had run away, and the drone zeroed in on Yuriy, who pulled out vegetables to show that he did not have a weapon.

“It could see that I had tomatoes out, some cucumbers and eggplants laid out on the floor,” Yuriy told BBC. “It even ducked under the umbrella when I was running away round the other side.”

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called the attack a “barbaric war crime,” demanding international intervention.

Zelenskyy argued that everyone should see the video to make clear what Russia is capable of, arguing that President Vladimir Putin won’t stop with Ukraine.

“This is not just about Ukraine,” Zelenskyy wrote. “Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova — all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end.”

“Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace,” Zelenskyy wrote.

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office says authorities have opened 5,303 criminal cases into drone attacks on civilian targets in the Kherson region. The office says the attacks have killed 287 civilians and wounded 2,549 others, including 41 children.

Prosecutors said the attacks appeared to be part of a systematic campaign, with FPV drones repeatedly striking civilians in public places, homes, transport hubs and civilian vehicles, and in some cases launching follow-up attacks after emergency crews arrived.

The release of the chilling video comes a year after a one-year-old boy was killed by a Russian drone in the Kherson region while playing in his playpen in his grandmother’s backyard.

A tense encounter was captured on police body camera footage, showcasing the arrest of a Canadian woman by Florida deputies. The incident unfolded after the woman, stopped during a routine traffic check, allegedly provided a false identity. Inside her vehicle, authorities uncovered 12 counterfeit identification cards.

Sheriff Chad Chronister of Hillsborough County unveiled video from July 29, highlighting deputies pulling over a car in Tampa due to malfunctioning taillights and tag lights. The footage offers a detailed look at the pivotal moments of the interaction.

Identifying herself initially as “Brianna Valenzuela,” the driver, 28-year-old Bryce Swanson, informed deputies she possessed a driver’s license but conveniently left it behind, as per the official reports.

“Swanson later admitted to deputies that she neither had an ID nor ever held a legitimate driver’s license, despite earlier claims,” Sheriff Chronister shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. The investigation of her vehicle unveiled 12 driver’s licenses all bearing her image but under various aliases and birth dates.

Authorities confirmed that Swanson is a Canadian citizen who has overstayed her visa, adding another layer to the complex legal case unfolding.

The body camera footage shows a deputy questioning Swanson about her identity after she said she was visiting Florida from New York in a rental vehicle.

“I live in New York,” Swanson said. “I’m here in Florida literally just visiting friends and stuff right now.”

The deputy pointed out she did not have any New York identification.

“Your story’s not making a lot of sense to me, right?” the deputy said. “You say you live in New York, but you don’t have any ID in New York.”

When the deputy again asked how she could live in New York without any identification, Swanson replied, “I’ve never had a driver’s license or anything like that.”

Deputies then searched the vehicle and found what investigators described as numerous fraudulent identification cards.

“All these are fake,” one deputy said in the video before placing Swanson under arrest.

Swanson was booked into the Orient Road Jail and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and providing a false name to a law enforcement officer.

She is being held without bond because of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer, according to jail records.

Fox News Digital has reached out to ICE for comment.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have reportedly decided to no longer consider their initial wedding as their anniversary, citing ‘bad memories’ associated with the event.

Sources close to the duo have revealed that the April 2022 ceremony, which was attended by Brooklyn’s family, is not a day they cherish.

The pair exchanged vows during a lavish three-day celebration at Nicola’s family estate in Palm Beach in April 2022, welcoming approximately 500 guests.

In August 2025, they renewed their vows — notably without extending an invitation to the Beckham family.

In a move that distances them further from Brooklyn’s parents, the couple now embraces their intimate second ceremony as their ‘official’ anniversary date.

Brooklyn failed to post a tribute to Nicola on their original anniversary this April, while Nicola has never marked the celebration.

Pointedly, the pair both marked their new anniversary in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

A source said: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola’s first wedding in April 2022 is not an occasion they look back on fondly. Nicola ended up in tears. It’s not something they want to be reminded of.

‘Their second wedding, where they renewed their vows last August with just her family and their friends, does hold so many happy memories however.

‘Going forwards, they’ve decided that this is the date they will celebrate publicly together,’ they added to The Sun.

The Daily Mail has approached Nicola, Brooklyn and the Beckhams for comment. 

Marking the vow renewal on Tuesday, Brooklyn called the actress, 31, his ‘absolute princess’. 

He penned: ‘Happy anniversary Nicola I can’t tell you how much I love you x you are my best friend and I love you more than life itself xx.

‘I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife xx you are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you xx.’

Nicola also posted, writing: ‘happy anniversary my love you make life so beautiful. thank you for being the most amazing husband i could ever dream of.’

In Brooklyn’s scathing bombshell statement earlier this year, the eldest Beckham son explained that he and Nicola hosted a vow renewal without his family, as they wanted to ‘create new memories that bring us joy and happiness’ after Victoria ruined their wedding. 

In his statement in January, Brooklyn detailed the ‘anxiety and embarrassment’ he felt when Victoria hijacked their first dance and called him ‘evil’ when she wasn’t seated at his table.

He wrote: ‘During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ”evil” because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands.

‘Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours. The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was “not blood” and “not family.”

‘My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.

‘In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.

‘She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.

‘We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.’

Brooklyn narrowly missed bumping into his parents in the South of France last week, as the couple joined his godfather Elton John on his yacht just a stone’s throw from where his estranged parents were also holidaying.

It marks the closest Brooklyn had been to his family in months as they holiday just along the coast of the French Riviera.

Victoria and David were most recently seen on their yacht in St Tropez, 75 miles away from their son, who is staying on Elton’s boat near Nice.

Once again, Brooklyn skipped his family’s annual getaway on the £16million yacht after severing ties with his parents and siblings.

Instead, he united with Elton and his husband David Furnish, where they were spotted chatting on board the vessel.

The Beckhams and Elton have been pals for more than 30 years, with David affectionately calling the musician ‘Uncle Elton’ after the pair became friends in his football heyday.

Yet Elton appears to be pledging an allegiance with Brooklyn and Nicola as they enjoyed lunch on the sundeck.

Before heading to the South of France, David and Victoria had been in the US – with Romeo and Kim, Harper, 15, Cruz, 21, and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30 – to watch the World Cup, but despite living in California, Brooklyn avoided meeting up with his family amid their ongoing estrangement.
